I know I'm probably late bringing this up, but did anyone else notice how the GT logo is almost a direct rip-off of the Grand Trunk Western railway logo?

the engine is MUCH cleaner... I really like it. Not sure about the mirror... seems distracting to me.

Sure. But it has been since, at least, 1982.

See, totally late coming to the discussion. That '82 pic is even closer to the original. I wonder if Grand Trunk even minded?

Yeah, and where are the ones that stated this car would only make 340 horsepower? I also remember a guy who went after Boomer, calling him stupid essentially for relating information that put the Mustang GT at 400+ horsepower. Hmmm... guess who was spot-on with their information?

I wonder what this is gonna do to '10 Mustang resale values...

As pumped as I am about the 5.0 I'm maybe even more pumped about scoring a low mile 05-09 for short money!

I think it will hurt the resale value a little, but only among the enthusiast crowd. 315hp is still a lot of power.

I agree 315 is still a lot of power, but as the owner of a '97 GT I have noticed that 94-95 GTs are actually commanding higher resale value than the 96-98 cars. Despite having the same HP as the 96-97 cars and even 10 less HP than the 98. It seems people tend to gravitate to the 5.0 powered 94-95. I'm guessing part of it is because the 5.0 is far more mod friendly than the 96-98 2V 4.6 cars.

Either way I'm really wanting to join in the s197 crowd! This '11 lineup is awesome, glad to see Ford actually competing with the Camaro!

Yeah mine too!

I am kind of concerned about how much a 2011 GT will cost!

Question, does the 2011 have a Track Pack or did the brake upgrade package take it place? Also does the struct tower brace bar come on all 2011 GT's?

Don't know about the first one, but the 2nd one. No. In the pics released of the Race Red 2011 GT, it doesn't show it. It will probably be standard on cars equipped with 19" wheels, like it is now.

I'm going to bet that the Brembo Package does take the place of the Track Pack though. I hope it's available with the Glass Roof, unlike now!

Thanks glad to be back, been busy with work, new house and so on. This 5.0 news is terrible timing as buying a house put me in a tough spot as far as buying my next Mustang....

Tell me about it. My ideal 2011 won't be a drop top. Hmmm, how to be ridiculously extravagant and keep both cars...

I battled with this decision already.. and I really can't NOT purchase a 2011 GT. Even if I only get $12k for my 2008 GT, I realized it's just not an option for me to not buy a 2011 and continue to enjoy my life.

I actually planned out my finances for the next 4 years already, factoring in $12k resale on the '08, assuming worst case scenario of 2010's and 2011's + bad economy resulting in my car being essentially worthless.

Why would you only get 12K for your 2008 GT?
