The dealers get charged the gas and advertising cost directly from Ford. They always pass them on to the customers. It's included in the MSRP.
The advertising cost is directly linked to the price of the vehicle, the higher the cost of the vehicle, the higher the charge for advertising.

Look at this Vehicle Order Confirmation that lists the dealers costs.

 

I believe it, however I don't recall seeing that on the invoice. As a matter of fact I questioned the salesman when the charges could not be found on the invoice printout he gave me. I'm good with it. Best price I could find. :-)

 

Hi Deysha, I've been reading forums all over and I'm so glad to have found someone who can get answers. I ordered from my dealer in Canada called "Chartrand Ford". They are located in the city of "Laval" province of "Quebec". My sales rep confirmed me my order has been entered on Nov. 20th but didn't give me a confirmation print out nor a VIN. Brand new to the forum. I ordered my GT/CS Ingot Silver today 12/27/12. The salesman said it would be a 2014. My first car is a 1966 289 coupe which I still have(28 years). It will be nice to finally have some creature comforts(power windows, cruise control, etc).

 

Welcome to TMS, Newchamp. I think Ingot Silver would be my choice for a '14, and I love the GT/CS package.

Make sure you post photos of both your Stangs together when you get a chance

I ordered a new 2014 Mustang GT Premium from my local dealer on 11/29/12 with the following items: 2014 GT Premium (P8C), Equipment Group (400A), Paint Color Black (UA), Manual Transmission (44X), GT Track Package (55R), Comfort Group (53B), GT Accessory Pkg 4 (944).

I have the Vehicle Order Confirmation & Order Number – I just sent a PM to the “FordCustomerService” user on this forum to see if a VIN and Build date has been listed for my order.

PS: I have a 1967 Ford Mustang I’ve owned since I was 16yrs it is my first car which I bought for $100. I’ve restored it and built the engine (393 stroker) myself and enter it in local car shows. I just had the paint done at Counts Kustoms here in Las Vegas, NV. With the Resto-Mod done, a muscle car appraiser valued it at $53,000 – nice investment.

Quick question though: What does the priority number mean? Beside my order number my priority number is 15. I saw some other people had priority 10. Can someone clarify specifically what that represents?

Priority is the order in which they produced for a particular dealer. 10 is highest 99 lowest (will not build). You have a low # and will build early.

 

do you think these incentives will be around for the 2014 or would you save more money just getting a 2013 now?

 

Incentives are almost always best on the "older" units.

Just ordered a 2014 Black GT premium with glass roof. Can't wait to get it!!

How long does it usually take to get a VIN? I can't wait to check out the sticker online.

 

I got my vin a couple weeks after placing order. The related window sticker and vin date appears on 1/3 for me. Ordered. 12/12/12.

 

Due to an error made by my dealer, I got 4k in incentives on my 13'; Got the 2k that was available when I ordered and 2k now. So x-plan + incentive + incentive + 750 coupon. Dealer hated their mistake but had to stick by it, 39k sticker, 32k out the door
