2014 Ordered/Built/Delivered Thread
Ugh, getting the run-around from my dealer. Put my order in originally back in December and they gave me an order sheet with the 9999 order number until they could put the actual order in the first of Jan.
Now my sales guy has been out sick for the last several days and they can't seem to even find any record my order was placed. I even filled out all of the credit app forms, wrote them a $500 check, etc...
If when he gets back I find out the order wasn't placed I'm going to be pissed...

I was told by a salesman last night that the incentives are usually based on the current inventory of particular models / trim levels available. Since there are no 2014 models in inventory at this time, there won't be any incentives on them yet. Once production starts and there is some available inventory I suspect that incentives will begin - probably at a low level like $500, and later in the year they'll probably ramp up to $1500 or $2000.

Took a couple days longer than expected but this morning I put in my order for a shiny new 2014 V6 Premium Convertible. Ruby Red w/Black interior, manual transmission, 202A and comfort packages, rear window shield, revolving front plate, extendible side outriggers and palladium torpedo tubes. Can barely wait to drive it!!!
(She will join my similar red 2002 F-350 diesel DRW 4x4 in the garage.)

Woohoo, dealer actually did order my Mustang first thing this month. My specific sales guy has been out sick since Christmas with some food poisoning. Hope he (and family) gets better, supposedly they have all been sick for the past two weeks even spending time in the hospital.
I PMed Deysha already... i hope to hear some good news.

I experimented with an old license plate and found that I can bend over (or cut off) the top and bottom of the plate to get one that shows the state name and the license number and is just shy of 4" tall. That altered plate can then be mounted to the LOWER opening in the front and secured to the grill and should be okay with my state's front plate requirement. That way I don't have to have the front bumper marred by having the license plate bracket attached. The plate will still show as much as would be visible if it were the full plate and had a license plate frame attached.

Congrats, PA-Fatboy! PM me with your dealer’s name and order number so I can track it for you.
Deysha
Deysha,
I PM'd you my dealer name and order number. Now I'm hoping you can provide info on the folder and file structure and content for music on a USB thumb drive. I formatted mine to FAT 32 and created four folders (Classical, Jazz, Latin, and Popular). I copied two albums into each of those folders as sub-folders. The album/sub-folder contents were in the Windows Media Audio format. The Sync system at my dealership played the music but not in any order I could figure out and showed song info on the display as unknown. I must be missing something, but I don't know what.

ETA Feb 16th for my GT Premium. Thanks Deysha. So nice to have inside connections
. I've been trying not to think about my car too much to keep from going crazy. Having a date to look forward to makes it feel like I'm actually going get this thing one day!

The light bulb finally came on about playing music through Sync from a USB thumb drive. I loaded up one of my drives and went over to the dealership to test my assumptions, and they were pretty much right on. I've PM'd Jaclyn as Deysha suggested and am waiting for her to confirm or correct my understanding. Now I just have to buy a high capacity thumb and load up all my music and I'll be ready for the arrival of my new Mustang.
It is quite amusing reading about how we all are waiting anxiously for some number of weeks until our new Mustangs arrive, me included. We had a 1991 Morgan 4/4 (little English roadster) that we sold a couple of years ago.

We were the second owners. I have no idea how long the original owner had to wait, but I do know that the waiting list stretched at times to as long as eight to ten YEARS. Morgans were, and still are, hand built and only around 500 - 600 a year were made.
