Varilux- Good luck! Seems you are closer to being behind the wheel than me. I will say this, I do not want to order a car again. I don't have the patience for it.

lvxlr8n,
Yeah, but when you do get yours those 650hp will help you catch me pretty quick! Then you can love accelerating in it (guessing that is the meaning of your handle here ).

Once the Rangers game is over, my son and I plan some recon to the dealer just to see if it might be sitting behind the building- one never knows (and if you wait for your dealer to update you, you may never know ).

No replies from Deysha on my two PMs this week. I guess that just means no news on my order. On to week 4 without Ford picking up my order. I just want my car before they close for a month at the end of June.

Sucks that the coupon expired- hope you receive word soon. I must have put in 5 or 6 requests for brochures, but only ever received one (and it had no coupon).

My ETA was today. No call from the dealer, so it looks as if the "subject to change" part Deysha warned me about has come into effect.

I was able to have my $750 coupon locked in when I ordered my car under the Ford incentive protection program. It expired the day I ordered my car.

I also have a $1500 rebate locked in but if it stays at $2000 (what the rebate is now) I will get the higher rebate but if it goes below $1500 I am locked into $1500.

Maverick: I ordered My base GT on 4/24 and had recently gotten the window sticker and vin# from deysha. Took her about a week to respond to me. My ETA from deysha is June17... My dealer tells me June 8. I'm just going with the soonest one. Hope you receive word soon... it replenished my excitement.

I went to the dealer today and they checked to see if I had a VIN # yet and they said no, Ford hasn't picked it up yet. They found a car exactly like what I ordered less then 200 miles away. They said they can do a trade with that dealer. Also if I wanted that car I could go with the driver and drive that car back.

I told them I wanted to just wait for my car to come from the factory. I'm going to hang on to all the paperwork and keep it for the car. So my name will forever be a part of this car's history as the person who ordered it.

Way to stick with it! Any reason why your order hasn't been picked up yet or do they not know? You should order in the city next time. Maybe you'll have better luck.

They said they are good on allocations and they don't know why Ford hasn't picked up the order yet.

Patriot Ford has great customer service and the reason I picked them to start is all the great reviews online. It will all work out in the end.

I'm sure it will workout too. The waiting is the hard part but oh so worth it. From your sig it looks like it will be a nice one. Once the VIN is available you will know its in the production process. When the window sticker is available online, then you can see the scheduled date of the build. My dealer says it takes about 8 hours from start to finish on the assembly line.

A little bit of customer service goes a long way!

We hopped in the car to do our nightly reconnaissence of the dealer's yard (it was after 9pm, so we assumed they would be closed)...

One of the customer service reps (who was still securing down the lot) saw us and asked if she could help. After admitting we were just there to see if we could spot my car in the back, she told us to go on in and ask if anyone has seen any arrivals.

No one could recall any cars arriving that day, but one of the guys insisted on walking us to the receiving area (way in the back of the dealer) to have a look. There were no new Mustangs back there, but I really appreciated someone taking time at the end of their day to check!

On the way back, he explained the whole arrival process and said he would personally make sure my salesman knew I was there and that he needed to check on the status. So, still no car- but I'm confident it will be soon (oh, and they unload cars in a wide open lot- just to avoid what happened to ShelbyMama)!

So my name will forever be a part of this car's history as the person who ordered it.
Way to stay with it- and that's cool! My (misspelled) name is on the window sticker... which is really cool. Hoping they can correct the spelling!

Just discovered the $2000 rebate is applicable to my zip code (and therefore car) now! Happy to save some extra. Now if only the $750 incentive would arrive in one of the brochures I requested....

Quick question for any Bay Area pony owners in the SF or Silicon Valley area:
Are they big on giving tickets for not having front license plates?
We are going to be visiting for a few weeks and were hoping to not have to drill the front for the front license plate, especially since we are out of state.
Any info is appreciated!

Did any of you guys do financing before your car arrived or did you wait until your car arrived? I already worked out the numbers with the dealer but I'm thinking about getting all the paperwork up to he final signatures done.

I bought this bracket for mine. No drilling, looks easy to remove when you want.
