What are you guys doing for storing your new mustang. Im up North and have to leave the car in the garage till spring. I have a battery tender on it, but my main question is starting it up warming it for a 1/2 hr with 28 miles on it is more harmful than just leaving it alone...
Think about it that's what the dealers do. leave them for months before someone buys it....

Your instinct seems right...I wouldn't start it. Mine won't move until spring which kills me because I only put 150 miles on it so far. I want to hear that 5.0 come to life but it's only a few more months. Fuel stabilizer and battery maintainer. I have been storing another car this same way December through March going on 12 years now. No side effects so far. I do an oil change in the spring but I'm not sure what to do on the new one with regard to this.
Thanks JohnX3... I have been spend my nights on YouTube watching videos on mustangs. Some fun stuff for sure... haven't driven my car at all except for backing it out of the garage. Spring can't get here soon enough.

Not crazy...I am thinking of doing the same but I am 25 miles from dealer...I'm afraid now it might cost a fortune. ..hopefully mine will come in good weather....

I did an Internet search and there are a couple articles saying it is closed until January 21st....that stinks....
Ford said Friday that its Flat Rock Assembly Plant — home to the Mustang and Fusion — will be down until Jan. 21. Ford already idled the Flat Rock plant for a week this month

Good to know, at least I'm not waiting any more.

Talked with my sales guy...he said that Ford will still begin picking up orders next week so mine should still be on schedule...most likely no later than end of March, which is fine as I don't drive mine in winter or in rain.
