This is the error you receive when you hit the features button: "Sometimes things don't go the way we want them to."

I'm pretty sure that is how I am currently feeling about the price guide.

I wish I could check, but Ford decides to do mantinence on their dealer site!!! Can't they do that when the dealers are closed, like in the middle of the night? Come one!!!

 

Maybe Ford's copying Apple? Apple usually updates their site to put up new products Tuesday mornings. One can only hope!

I don't know anything about Ford's dealer site, but if it's just data, it can be entered in a single dump. If they're adding pages, it may take a bit longer. Jeff and Brian would know more about whether prices/order guides are put out uniformly (always on a Monday/Tuesday etc.) or whether they're updated randomly. The bigger the company the more routine the processes tend to be, and Ford's a big company. I would tend to believe they update things based on a system so as to keep all the dealerships on the same page, no pun intended, as much as possible. But that's just me.

 

Jeff, Brian, how long is the normal downtime for site maintenance?

 

Its anyone's guess. When I log in, usually its a normal screen and I can click on anything, but when they are doing something, its a different look with "direct access to links" page. I hope they fix it later today. It hurts business as you can't do your normal things.

FMCdealer is down here, too, Jeff (nationwide maintenance, of course). I can get into the portal, but no access to Pricelists - aaargh!

 

The dealer site maintenance is not related to price guides. It's a vast website with sales, service, parts info for dealers. They do routine maintenance a few times a year that disrupts our ability to find info we need, as Jeff noted.

However, I did just dial into the order banks to see if pricing is "live" yet for 2013 Mustangs and it is not, of course.

Ford typically releases new/updated order guides and price lists on Friday afternoons so that we see them Monday mornings. Sometimes we can see them on Fridays, so I'm hoping that tomorrow is our day for pricing, but Monday the 5th makes more sense.

 

my birthday is feb 4th so it only makes sense they will come out with the pricing for my bday wish

Aren't the '13 shelbys not coming out until like 2 months after the v6 and gts? I thought I read an article saying shelbys wouldnt be out until late mid-late summer, while the rest would be available late spring.

 

That's true. I'm not even thinking about the dates... Sometime in the "summer" whenever that is. It's not anytime soon, that's all I know. The option list isn't even out. When I read about the members on here antsy GT prices aren't even out I laugh a little inside. US Shelby suckers have so much longer to wait. 1st world problems...
