2013 Mustang Order Guides (including GT500) & Price Lists
#1001
So it might have already been speculated but I am honestly too lazy to read all 67 pages over again. Now that the regular price list has been released, when can we expect the price of the GT500?
To be honest I am starting to wonder if I should jump on a 2012 while the one I want might still be out there in a showroom rather than be disappointed by a 60,000+ price tag in a month or so.

So what exactly would it cost for just a base model GT? I mean no extra options at all...it seems like people are really upset with the pricing, but it doesn't seem to be much more than last years base prices. Is it the cost of the options that people are upset with?

i must have missed somethign 41k for a gt mustang with man. transmission. no glass top, or convert. is a bargain? i would hate to see what you think a fair deal is.. the fact of the matter that lets say 60% of the car is identical with the 22k v6 model and they double the cost for seats.. a lcd monitor and a v8 is ridiculousness.. i see alot of people on here complaining they upped their prices again... the body, frame, panels, and most electronics are the same.. so where is 20K worth of stuff they are putting in.. not to mention for 18k you get a motor and transmission... it costs 18k for the price DIFFERENCE in a v8 and a few changes...i was very excited when my dealer they could deal with me.. but after these prices i see no way they can get close to what i was expecting
when you look at it, 33k for a 420 horse 32 valve v-8 that delivers stellar performance on many levels really is a bargain.
Pay up or shut up is what I say. If you have to haggle with yourself over 1-2k on a car purcahse your biting off more then you can chew to begin with. just my .02

well your looking at a sticker price of 41k but then when you take it back to invouce (or near), throw a little rebate on it you'll already be down to around 37k. Go to a base with the cloth recaros and then your at 33k you want to be at.

Maybe this'll make you feel a bit better? Could be in my situation... hehe. Finally settled on a value for my 12 GT.

So how do we find out what price level 300 was? retail orders have price protection against an increase... or did 300 not even exist?

Todays the day fellas! Headin over to metro ford after I work this OT. Looks like im gonna be paying $38500 for a manual GT Premium with glass roof, recaros, and Track Pack. That price includes x-plan, $500 incentive, destination, and that gay fuel/advertisement charge. Gonna put down $23500 (mostly money saved from the cars ive sold privately recently) and have an easily manageable $322 monthly payment. Hopefully i dont get slapped in the face with any more fees. The frustration from that $2000 swing i took yesterday aged me bout 2 years but Im excited to finally pull the trigger.

Just for grins, I priced out my 2010 GT with the 4.6L engine/manual transmission and premium trim level to the 2013 equivalent with the 5.0L engine (MSRP). Here is what it comes out to be -
2010 GT Premium Coupe (P8C) - $30,995
2013 GT Premium Coupe (P8C) - $34,300
2010 3:55 rear axle (455) - $395
2013 3:55 rear axle (455) - $395
2010 19" nickel wheels (64V) - $695
2013 19" nickel wheels (64V) - $995
2010 destination/delivery - $850
2013 destination/delivery - $795
2010 TOTAL (not including advertising or document fees) - $32, 935
2013 TOTAL (not including advertising or document fees) - $36, 485
So the question is would I find the 5.0L engine + 6-speed manual transmission, the styling updates, and any other content differences I missed worth the $3500 price increase. For engine alone, I'd probably say 'yes'.
The GT track pack and Recaro options, in my opinion, are what are being offered to make those who didn't want to make the stretch to the Boss happy. That engine in the Boss is what ups the base price, especially when you consider a crate engine 5.0L is around $7000 and crate Boss engine is $12000.
I do agree that once you start adding the options, as in any car, the bottom line increase can seem dramatic.

So i was off buy a grand in my estimate. Thats what i get for using the canadian price list as a guide. Got the car right but the Recaros and Track Pack each went up $500! Yikes. My ride should be around $37,500 with x-plan, rebate, and destination charge.
So Brian or Jeff, can I order the car this weekend or will that be impossible with all the concepts maintenance going on?

Brian or Jeff - could you please clarify for me: for X-plan pricing it is (invoice * .996) + $275. I was looking around and I see different conflicting responses about if the destination fee is included in that or not. While I am not really worried as I am guessing next week I could get the official final price I am curious if my cost is $550 less than 2012 MY or $1350 :P

Rebates are always be adjusted up or down by manufacturers depending on their perceived need for more or less cash on the hood. Rebate may get better again by the time the '13's start arriving, so it's too early to condemn Ford for the change.
