You have your choice of taking whatever incentives were offered at the time you placed your order on Jan 5th (which was nothing), or whatever incentives are offered on the day you take delivery (which will likely still be $1,000, or better perhaps).

Is this something new? I was always under the impression that you only received whatever incentives were available at the time of delivery, not ordering. When I ordered my '08, there was I think a $500 rebate being offered. Eight weeks later when I took delivery it was no longer available and I didn't get it.

If your dealer ordered your car as a type 2 to speed up delivery, you have forfeited incentive protection. Also, if your dealer doesn't have the items I noted above, then they can't successfully apply for incentive protection for you. Have them print up the rules for incentive protection in the C&I Announcement page at FMCdealer - they should know what & where that is.

Not wrong! The order banks for 2013 Mustangs opened December 12, 2011 nationwide. Any dealer could have entered orders into the system if they knew how to do it without an order guide (using the F1/help button was key to see what options/colors were available).
Many dealers simply don't try to order until the order guides come out so that they know what to order. They simply assume that orders can't be placed if they don't have an order guide, and we all know what happens we people assume things.

Hey everyone, I'm back to work from my day at the Auto Show!!! The show was awesome!! The best show Philly has had in a LONG LONG TIME!!! Gotta say what was the best there in regards to anything
Jaguar XKR-S! WHAT A SICK CAR!!! 550 hp S/C 5.0!!
Fisker Karma!! This car surprised me ALOT!! What a nice nice car and amazing!!! The fit and finish is gorgeous!!
Subaru BRZ: This car was darn impressive. I've seen the pics, but its really neat in person. You sit LOW to the ground on this! Should be a fun driver. Much better looking than the Scion
Lamborghini Aventador!!! I NEED TO WIN THE %^&*(*& LOTTERY NOW!!!
Audi R8: LOVE IT!!
New 911 (991) Carrera S! Its nice, and is bigger. I'd rather have the Cayman R that was there
Boss 302 LS: The new design is MUCH MUCH better in person!!!
All the cars from F.C Kerbeck!! They had a 25th Anniversary Countach, the Aventador, Gallardo BiColor (white/black) Gallardo Spyder, Aston Martin Rapide, Virage, Virage Volante, DB9 Volante, V8 Vantage Volante, RR Ghost, Phantom, Drophead Coupe, Bentley CGT, CGT SS Convertible, And several Maseratis (including a GrandSport MC Coupe). That place is amazing!!
What a show!! Back to work and no prices again today!!! I would just tell anyone who wants to order, just go ahead and do it. Its a retail so they won't be pulled for production yet anyhow, and most likely you will get prices before the order is scheduled anyhow.
Brian, thanks for the heads up on the rebates. I hadn't checked yet but that's great news for the car. I figured there would be a rebate between $500 and $1,000. Glad to see its the higher number. Awesome!! I'll post up some pics from the show soon. I left the camera at home

I have been following this for sometime waiting for the prices and today after my 99 BMW broke down and is in my garage waiting for me to repair it yet again I decided to pull the trigger. Went to the dealership this morning and placed the order, and we have a deal worked out as I have bought from them before.
5.0 Deep impact blue, electronics, brembo, heated leather seats, 3.55 manual. Could not find anything anywhere with my list of must haves which were the brembo and the electronics and the comfort package. Now the waiting begins.

Hmm....might talk to my dealer about cancelling the current order and re-ordering to lock in incentives...do they still roughly stick to the order date once they start pulling retail orders? not sure how much that would effect my wait time (it probably helps being 15min from Flat Rock, no long train rides for the car to add to wait )
