I know my Escape doesn't have a backup camera and I'm constantly smashing into things. Tricycles, garbage cans, joggers, mailboxes, shopping carts, people pushing shopping carts, midgets, the elderly, cute furry bunnies, the garage door… it never ends!

Mirrors are tricky. If only I had a camera, all these pitfalls could be avoided!

The Tail Lights Don't Stick Out! They are flush with the body of the car, it just so happens that the center of the trunk is now Concave, which means it's curved in. These tail lights won't "Stick Out" any more than your 05-09's tail lights do. They will be flush at the top and bottom and Curved in on the inside edges just like the Medallion in the center. Just Like The 69's.

 

Hey, it could have been in a worse place. I think it blends in nice, and besides, this could confirm a nav system with an LCD screen.

I like the taillights. Those are LED lights, I assume?

 

Too bad we can not see it with that cheap black plastic on it also.

 

The same way you get into the passenger door with no battery, climb through the car.

Here's something I think that's being overlooked, Look how Tight the panel gap is between the bumper and the quarter panel. Very Nice Fit and Finish!

 

That is nice.

But to play devil's advocate, it's possible they've finessed it. They've obviously gone to the trouble of digitally cleaning up the area where the "gas cap" meets the body.

 

Their photoshopers aren't that good, the picture of the swaped buttons case in point.

 

This is true.

Wouldn't you agree that the area around the "gas cap" has been massaged? Once I noticed it, it looks super-corny every time I look at it now. It lacks dimension or something.

 

I honestly think the gas cap is natural and is just set completely flush on the panel.

 

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Well I like the spoiler. But I am less than impressed by the medallion. It looks like the bottom of an aluminum can was stuck on there. And I am not sure about the trunk having a different curve than the light. I like the interior though. mostly

 

In the gt500 one you are seeing the shadow of itself on the panel.

 

It's the omission of the (albeit tight) gap from the teaser that looks weird to me.

 

I Agree zzcoupe, it does look kinda flat and funky around the Cap/Medallion. There is No Orange cast to the cap it's self from the reflected area around it, and the bright highlight near where the cap meets the trunk panel is out of place with the shape of the cap in the pic of the GT-500 Cap.
