Since I made this week's teaser my desktop pic, those candy stripes have grown on me like a bad rash.

 

Now a bad rash I think is a bit much. I liked the stripe as soon as I saw them in context. The finnish of the lens and the coloring, It all works. Like you say Aaron, It's like those Designers know what doing or something.

Also, If you rally want to keep you head light and tail light lens clear and bright and keep them from hazing Use Alcohol lens clearers not GLASS cleaner.

 

After re-reading that, I realized how awful my analogy was. Makes it sound like I don't like the taillights. Quite the contrary.

Plus, I suppose there's no such thing as a "good rash."

 

Here is my latest work, it's based off of an earlier chop where I turned an 07 into a 2010 before all of the spy shots were seen.

I mentioned earlier in this thread that I don't like how the taillights curve up at their edges and this chop really confirms my thought. They make the bumpers look way too big IMO.

I love everything except the black plastic skirts and rear fascia. Does anyone know the reason for the switch from painted to this?

YAH, It is so if you get bumped in the rear they can sell you 2 parts for twice as much money.

I would be shocked if it's 2 separate pieces. More likely it's a black plastic bumper and they simply leave a portion unpainted.

 

You could always have it painted.
