2010 Coupe without camo...
That's true. I noticed that as well. It's much more subtle with the valence being broken by body color corners.

Being as the next major redesign will take place in 2014, a.k.a 50th anniversary edition. You can count on it, as being a much different looking car !

The recent photos of the gt are helping me not hate it so much anymore. I still dislike it in many ways tho.
But... I still can't believe they put the v-6 blackout all the way around the bottom! Fords way of saving money on paint!?? Would look alot better if the rockers were at least painted.
I am excited for the orange color, I know alot of people are going to love the grabber blue.

Thats correct Rocky, the "new" car for 2013 (that's what I heard, as this redesign/freshening is for 3 years) will be majorly different and I can't wait! I'm saving up for a 50th Anniversary GT Coupe as long as business is decent.

On the other hand, if you've heard that Mustang is confirmed to launch on the all new GRWD platform, in 2013. Then I'll just follow your recommendation instead.
Jeff, I hope you didn't misinterpret my post. But according to what my source had confirmed, is the 2010 redesign/refreshing is for 5 years. As the all "new" completely redesigned Mustang, won't debut on the all new GRWD platform, until April 2014. Thus marking the Mustang's 50th anniversary.

, as I would be spilling more than the Exxon/Valdez, lol). I just heard from a few fellows "in the know" over at BON, that they heard the new new car is coming out in 2013. Now that said, is it the 2013 model year, or 2013 calender year (as a 2014
). Only time will tell buddy! Gonna be a great wait though. SUPERCHARGED RED ROCKET ------------------Master-Moderator

Hey Rocky, by no means do I have "insider info" just because I work at a dealer (I wish I did though

Fellow TMS'ers: please wait until the camo comes off and you can really see how the black bumpers and rockers balance the car out. This is a pretty much standard thing on performance vehicles for a large black fascia insert to rise halfway up the bumper. It will "dis-appear"- trust me

Leave the cladding to Azteks, Avalanches, and Elements--on which cladding actually improves the looks of these POSs by covering up more of the designed-in putridness (putridity?) these wretched vehicles are wallowing in.

Wondering how well the part will weather...
Its not painted or anything... will it scratch easier than a smooth surface paint, especially being that it covers a large ammount of rear-realestate...

All I can say is: Hold on to your 2005 through 2009 S197 Mustangs! They'll be classics, and their value will jump hugely once the 2010s start showing up in the dealerships and on the streets. You may even see dealer price gouging on the 2009s once people have the opportunity to see the 2010s in the sheetmetal.
The 2010s do offer an arguably nicer interior, it seems, but they they undid a lot of the improvement by converting the two center A/C vents to ho-hum rectangular vents--holdovers from the 8-track days, no doubt...
The 2010s also offer a nice rear fender kick-up, which the S197s should have had from Day One.
After that, the re-styling goes downhill...
And the 2014 model year is a long, long way from 9/18/08.........(Sigh)
Same V8. Same brakes. Same suspension...Are we excited yet?

Has there ever been an instance where a previous-gen car actually jumped (dramatically) in value when the next-gen* replacement entered the market? I have to say any examples of this actually happening would probably be few and far between, if at all.
*Yes, I know this "new" Mustang is technically a refresh and not truly next-generation.
