I agree, The GT500 doesn't necessarily need more power, not that more power wouldn't be a good thing. On the other hand I think the GT500 doesn't necessarily need less weight, not that less weight wouldn't be a really good thing, but more than more-power and less-weight the GT500 really needs better traction, MORE TRACTION.
When the lack of traction problem is taken care of the weight and power issues could be addressed. I think better traction would make both the power and weight levels seem like much smaller issues...
If you can't get any traction, when your tires are spinning it really doesn't matter how much power you have, or how heavy you are.

I can't believe how much more pronounced the hip looks in these pics. It looks very 69/70 to me now.
I like the profile of the front end too. More aggressive.
Thanks God they also god rid of the tacked on cheesy spoiler and have replaced it with a duck tail. Ever since 94 those things have been an eyesore. If a rear end is designed properly it shouldn't need one. Makes the car look cheap.

hmm yeah i see the dark patch...why would they mask the shape? its almost exactly like the original... man and for some reason i actually liked the shape of the 1/4 when it was maksed..anyone else or am i alone here?

They use a form of contact paper for the peanut camo. It comes in big shapes, which they cut into a rough body shape as well as around the wheels and windows. The reason the 1/4s are partially covered is because they made a big enough hole for the drivers to see but couldn't be bothered to all out.

At least I thought it was kinda funny
