2010 Coupe without camo...
Well.. I like it. When I looked at the camo'd vert light night, I thought the current models looked better. But I am really diggin' those tail lamps and the front end is on point with those fogs. WOW!
The front and rear photos of the orange car set it off for me. It really does look good. Ford did it again, just like I knew they would.
As far as stepping up to the new style, I don't feel a sense of urgency, however, my car will be paid for in 2011, in time for the 5.0. THAT'S my goal!
I'm putting away a few bills each month in route to a nice and heavy down payment. Then I'll have the best of both worlds.

that car is going to be decently quick.
Depending on the torque and gearing, it could even give a V6 Camaro a run for its money (considering there is probably a good 400lbs difference, not knowing the weight of the 3.7, but I'm going to assume its lighter than the 4.0 brick in it now)
Its not nearly as much change as I was expecting....but I guess I'll have to wait till I see the two models side by side..
And if the car is on a diet,

They honestly think they are going to run heads up with a GT with only 300hp.
I'm not excited yet. I don't think that I like the looks as well as my S197 -- we'll have to wait and see a real production one and see what Ford does with interior, NVH and overall quality. I'm still planning on keeping my Vert for a long time -- they'll have to hit a real home run for me to change my mind. The coupe may be a double -- the vert pics don't get to 2nd base for me. My .02 worth.
If my memory serves me right, many 94-98 owners disliked the 99' Mustang at launch. It really didn't catch on until a year or two after it's release. I think everyone liked the extra power but many disliked the looks. Now as time as passed it seems that the 99 is the much more popular choice.
As far as the 10' refresh I feel it is far less dramatic than the 99' refresh. I think my 97' and 03' look like very different cars from the outside. Besides the roof, neither car have similar looking body panels. With the 09' to 10' changeover it almost looks like an SE of the current model (different hood, headlights, tails etc.) It kinda reminds me of the difference between a GT and a GT500. I like the car but I thought we would see more of a change. Besides the hips it only looks like the front and rear ends changed much. I'm thinking Ford could have brought this model to production sooner than 10'.
Again I like the car but I hope that the next refresh is a much different looking car.

in that render Kor did where in the hell does he get that idea that the lower outside corners of the headlights do that funky upturn? I don't see that in any picks of the car.
I think he has mistaken that corner with part of the bumper, If you look closely you can see that it's actually the out side part of the head light.Maybe some one could fix it.

Well I feel better about the coupe pics only because the shoulders/hips/haunches are evident and the bodysides look okay. However the ugly sickle shaped taillamps have to go. I don't even mind as much that they turn up on the ends, but they come to a down point then turn up towards the decklid. Very awkward and unattractive. If the only looked more like the Jalopnik pics where the bottom of the taillamps goes straight accross even with the bottom of the decklid until it makes the turn up towards the quarter panel ends. The rear deck badge is too big. It looks like someone mounted a commemorative dinner plate on the back.
The turn signals inboard of the headlamps make it crowded and unecessarily cluttered. With the sidmarkers still looking like slightly abbreviated versions of the current model, they should have left well enough alone and left the headlamp area uncluttered.
Overall, the front and rear details could have been a lot more creative and attractive.

So far the refresh doesn't pass the "so what" test.
I was hoping for more dramatic change - something to convice me to give up my 2005 Pony. As with the rest of us, I am holding final judgement until I see the finished product in a showroom (or at the car show in a month or so!)
I owned a 1998 "coke bottle" 'Stang and I remember seeing the '99 refresh and absolutely hating it. After some time passed (and I bought a 2002) I looked back at my 1998 and thought it was a lumpy, boat-like car and wondered why I had been so in love with it! Guess familiarity will set in sooner or later and make me change my mind.
I gotta say though, unless there is a 5.0 and a six speed I see no reason to trade at this time.

they really added a ton of reflectors. four in the grill and it looks like theres another outside of the main headlight? not sure about that. Im starting to like the tailights and I HOPE that hip looks better on the finished product. I was hoping the hip would be more pronounced. I like the front fascia but it almost looks to busy. anyway, to early to judge.. ill wait for my grabber blue boss....
Otherwise, GB Boss!
