If the new Stang has the 3.7, I think it will take the Camaro V-6 by two car lengths. That's with a T-5 and 3.31 gears. The only problem I see is if Ford will give it a T-Lok to hook up.

That back end on the GT500 looks wayyyyyy to sculpted and fussy so far

The nose for some reason reminds of the new ram pickups when they went with the truck nose..I think it's how the hood meats up with that chunky nose at the very front of the hood

thanks..ok I also now know why the rear of th3e car bugs me. If you look at the GT500 pics and look at the dea on rear view it looks like the rear end is pinched inward as of from the top view the car is not as wide as it is on the sides. I beelive the 05 has a wider back end.

Not bad - I will say that I still love the style of my 05.

No 2010 envy here. Except for maybe the hips...

I know exactly what you are talking about.

the nose cone extension like on the rams grille that comes out slightly farther than it should.

Doesn't necessarily look bad on the GT500...

Pretty much ditto here. Not horrible, but there's nothing that's really grabbing me on the 2010 either (ok, I DO like the revised pony emblem)

I have nothing new to post. Other than it has the same door handle.

Its better than I expected, but less than I hoped. I think thats most people's thoughts here.

I for one am glad I bought when I did ... I see nothing worth an extra $6000 IMO.

Has it been stated somewhere that the 2010 Mustang will cost $6,000 more than the current car?

Nope it hasn't. Nor is he taking any of the other advantages of the 2010+ over the 2005-09 cars into consideration.

saleen367, you may not like the looks of the new car, but it will be a better car all around with personal styling tastes put aside

Same here bud, but I also envy the concave tail panel! That looks sweet!!!

I am really impressed with this design! That said, I will enjoy my car (I LOVE MY CAR), and save my pennies (once its paid off in a year or so) so I can have the All-New 2014 Mustang (total redesign & re-engineered, including chassis), with the 50th Anniversary Package option!! THAT is the next Mustang I want!!

Perhaps it's just me, but it seems like the hips exaggerate the car's high waisted beltline, even more than the current 05-09 models. IMO the rear also appears to look much taller than before.

So far, I'm not impressed with the re-fresh. But will wait for the full reveal, before passing final judgment !
