2010 Coupe without camo...
well, all i can say is that if you truely believe the 05 - 09 models will jump "hugely" when the 10s come out, then i have an 06 that will have about 15000 miles on it that you can buy for the price of a new 2011.
What? No deal? Guess that belief in the huge jump in price isnt really what you expressed it to be.

It is also the model year of S197 that will be worth the most $$$
All S197s will have exceptional value, to be sure--especially since Ford has introduced nice options and meaningful improvements in every model year of S197. As the last model of early S197s, the '09s will possibly fetch more than the '06s, '07s, and '08s, especially when equipped with all the new-for-2009 options like the exquisite glass roof. If there are also some new-for-2009 paint colors, the S197s in those colors will fetch more than those colors that have been offered in earlier S197s.
Those lucky few who may come to possess FR500Cs (and at least two were sold to investors--one brand new and one that was raced in the 2005 Grand Am) may be lookin' at $1,000,000-plus down the road. If that FR500C is the Black Forest MotorSports #5 2005 model driven my Tom Nastase with various co-drivers, the term "priceless" will come up at Barrett Jackson down the road, probably by the time you reach the first exit...
How I would love to have a matched set of Mustangs consisting of a white '65 fastback, a '67 fastback, a '69 fastback, and an '05 fastback! Certainly they should be GTs, although it might be proper to consider one of the rare Boss 429s for the '69 fastback. I waver on this one since the GTs were the affordable performance Mustangs of those years, whereas the Boss 429s were special editions at a premium price--sorta the odd-man-out in this matched set. It's sorta like today's Shelby GT500--not really the same vehicle as the current Mustang GT although just as much a Mustang as a Mustang GT. I guess it's the affordability issue that's the hang-up, although it's also true that the GT500 is the most affordable 500 horsepower car on Earth, even with dealer gouging.
Decisions, decisions...

Eights its going to be hard to convince people to hang on to their 05-09's when the 400 HP 5.0's hit the streets. Unless you are SC or Turbo no one wants to get spanked by a SS or RT so HP will sell this car even if the looks are less appealing to some.
I heard someone ask about the black plastic around the bottom of the car if it scratches easy. I have that plastic on my 07 XL7 as the whole back bumper is this and talk about scratches and scuff marks. Looks like crap and you can not get rid of them unlike paint were you can touch it up or have it painted. Just have to replace the whole thing.

Ha...I was just thinking that!!.......I'm not a fan of those wheels though
IMHO. So very glad to see that they have left the '66 Shelby GT-350 styled rear quarter windows alone! Pretty hard to improve on just about a prefect design. Some of those original 2010 camo pictures with the little trick cuts around those windows, were looking a little scary/ricer! Now if they had just made them as hinged/opening ones, that could have been about perfect for the little kiddies getting more air flow, while riding back there? CalStang

Those wheels may look pretty good in the flesh. I like that the charcoal/flat black color extends from the spokes into the wheel lug area--some thoughtfulness was applied there!
As I said in a posting a week or two ago, not much is wrong with the mid-life S197 styling update that a quad-cam Gasoline-Direct-Injected four-valve 5.0 V8 and Tremec 6060 can't cure within minutes after signing the papers! But the talk is 2010 or 2011

There's even talk--again--of the 6.2 becoming the Shelby engine--which would make some sense but only if it's got an aluminum block.
What we need here is hardware...
