Now decisions, decisions, on which finish options/combo??

Can't wait to see the rest of the new stuff, but as I expected, this is going to cost me a bit

Oh, and we now have 2nd day shipping as an option on our site - we could always do it over the phone, but we added in the functionality for domestic shipments to do that as well via online on our products. So we have to build the web pages for them, but they will be available for ordering here shortly. Also, there is a discount of 7.99 when the lock pockets and pins are ordered as a combo, and of course we have free standard ground shipping on our products too!
Oh those are nice I have to go out tonight but YES & YES on the pockets & Pins for the Aluminum finish for me please. I'll log in & order as soon as I get home tonight ! Can't wait for the dealer to see them lmao Always Blows them away !

Amazing looking pieces (as usual for SHR of course). Dying to be able to order a set.

Ok guys... I've got good news, and not so good news....

The good news:

We're still committed to these pieces, and we'll be doing a full release of them for the 05-09 cars ASAP.

The bad news:

Due to some small factors, I am not personally happy with the fitment of these on the 05-09 door panel, even though Ford uses the same P.N. for the pocket from 05-2011. Most of the problem developed in finishing, where small changes to the parts through tumbling, sanding, polishing and cleanup have led to a fit that is not as good as I would like since the 05-09 opening is so much larger than it is on the 2010. That said, the factory piece on the 05-09 cars upon close inspection (especially on the lighter interiors) does not fit all that great, but that is no excuse for our parts to not fit the way I'd like which to be honest needs to be better than OE in this case (see photo of OE to see what I'm talking about). Our prototypes were a really snug, almost too tight a fit, while production pieces, after finishing, are a little loose and would require some adhesive to stay in place. Since that's not our way of doing things...

The release on these will be limited to the 2010+ car at this moment, and to the garage sale section of our website at a substantial discount for those who don't mind using adhesive to insure they don't come loose (I'd recommend something like gorilla glue or silicone adhesive). Subsequent runs will have additional modifications to overcome these small issues. See the attached photos to see how they would look installed. (this is on our test panel we keep in the shop, pictures on our 2010 will be posted in a day or so, which does not have the same fitment issue so they look / fit nice.)

This is something that we did not see until the final pieces started coming back in from finishing. I would say that anyone that has an 05-09 and would like these even with the adhesive issue, we will be offering them at a *very attractive* discount, because once in, they still look nice. But our commitment to the quality of our products forces us to take a step back and tweak the design for them to be everything everyone has come to expect from a SilverHorse Racing product. At least our other new releases for this Spring are not affected by this, except one piece in development which has to be pushed back while we solve this issue.

** BTW ** Just a side note, the knock-offs fit worse, to the point where they don't even snap into the opening, so it's a different problem they have, mostly due I guess to the fact that they never saw the back side of our part (which isn't the issue with our piece)! I guess we need to be doing R&D for more than just our own company at this point!

That's why SHR maintains their rep, you CARE about what goes out the door.

Thanks, it is appreciated, helps on days like this to know that we do have customers who still care about what goes into their products.

Here's the link for anyone who isn't scared off by a little glue though:

We'll post up some more pictures in the next day or two - like I said, they look nice installed, it's just they are loose in the hole more than I'd like to see with a part like this. While we could've just put 3M tape on them and called it a day, I'd rather discount these deeply and get the next run where it needs to be to make me happy with them.

+20.00

We were going to offer them for even a little less, but because of the free shipping, we have to be able to afford to send them out

I've still got my fingers crossed for chrome door handle/lock pockets as well. If those were around the corner, they'd both be swapped out on the door ASAP. I know I hear these would be a pain to do, but one must keep the dream alive!

More pictures of the pieces that I consider "clearance" items These were installed on customer cars locally, both an 06 and an 08 shown. So maybe not so bad after all...

That's the way I'm going too. Satin pockets/chrome pins. Keep waffling over whether to wait for the revised parts or grab a set of the garage sale ones though.

Marcello, thanks for your honesty and integrity! I can't say I'm not at least a little disappointed to have to wait, but as you mentioned, some of us really hate adhesives (it's irrational I know).. but I just love stuff that snaps and clicks! It's why I spent a significant amount more for the GT-500 pedals rather than the CDC ones (look exactly the same without the adhesive). To this day I still think about my CDC decklid panel (but my love of the look has overcome the distaste for adhesives).

Anyway... it's worth the wait for me to get the outstanding SHR quality. In the meantime.. I'll just enjoy the pics and standby for those sweet door handles!

Man, those look geat!

I think the chrome pin/satin pocket will be going on my car. But given my perfectionist nature, I need to wait for the updated products to get released
