New Tru-Billet Products coming SOON
Ed - BEAUTIFUL Avatar...
Steve #1 - yes, we currently don't have a broach though which is needed for the square, deep pocket, but we may get one this spring if things keep trending upwards, just so we can have that capability to offer that piece and a couple others that require that capability.
Steve#2 - Door Handle Pocket while possible would be painfully expensive. It would need to be a minimum of two pieces ea., and given the size of the starting material and amount of removal, projected volume, etc... you'd be looking at a pair in the 300.00 range to do it "properly". Not that we haven't looked into it, but we just can't see how to do the part justice at a reasonable price at this time. Now if there is a market for such an expensive piece, then sure...
Of course, that all said, sometimes we come up with a solution to the problem, and suddenly something formerly impossible becomes possible. See the GT/CS grill insert as a perfect example of that, or even the 2nd gen door handles, which is something I prototyped 3 years ago, but only recently solved the fixturing issues associated with producing them (gotta love good CAD software!) So even when I say no, it just means it's got to rattle around inside our little heads longer...
Door subs - about the same issue... I wanted to do a one-piece ring/ cover replacement, but material prices fluctuate a lot. When aluminum is in the low end of the range, it is *almost* a possible part, but like last year when Aluminum went over 3.00/Lb, the part becomes too costly out of "real" billet. To be honest it is a cast, forged, or drawn part to do in economical terms, which currently puts it outside of our scope of capability. I don't like the idea of just doing the cover to the plastic ring, seems like a waste to me.

Marcello , thanks for the info ... $300 doesn't sound like a bad price on a quality piece like that , so if you get more interest in them I'd be in for a pair. On the speaker trim you're right a replacement piece is what I was thinking about , there are already covers available and I don't really care for any of them. When the material prices come down and if you decide to do them , I'd be in for a pair ...
I don't know on my avatar - Kind of partial to the 05, and to some of the pictures I had of it with some of the nicer ladies
Since we really haven't started getting into the 10's exterior too much yet, it's just a plain-jane white coupe at the moment from the outside.
Of course, you know that won't last...

As they wrap up finishing and are available, they will be released / pop up on the web. Can't do the "coming soon" pictures anymore, which is a shame as it was fun and provided some nice early feedback.

Couldn't wait, I drove over to SHR last Friday for a sneak peak. Y'all won't be disappointed. Thanks Marcello. I'm putting away my pennies for the lock pockets and the already released switch panels and shifter bezel.

LOL, no worries - we are having an issue with the chrome lock pockets at finishing right now, but they are working to solve that and move forward. Even what we've seen from them so far this week looks nice, just not perfect yet. Thanks for stopping by though, hope you didn't read the white board with the new products list on it that we're planning
Ditto! I've been checking the website every morning on my commute, during lunch, then on the way home... looking out for those lock pockets and door handles. I noticed the lock pockets show up as the main icon for the 2010 interior.. then when you get inside, poof!
You know the rules... can't release until I'm happy with them
Actually they were supposed to be here today from chrome plating, with the fix for the chrome issue they were having on the inside of the pockets, but somehow UPS didn't want anyone to have them, so if they don't show up in the morning, we'll be tracking them. Stinks too, because the facility is only an hour from ours, if I had time Friday I would've just driven up there had I known they weren't going to be here today.
Anyway, we've got a lot coming soon, door handles leave for finishing this week, just wrapped production today. Fuse covers already started coming back (again, just waiting on chrome), new e-brakes (all three finishes still out), 2010 fuse covers, other 2010 bits, plus 2005-2010 combo pieces, we'll soon be doing "kits" of our interior pieces, POP plugs that fit (you should hear the story I heard about a competitor's piece today LOL)... it's going to be an exciting year for us, things are actually coming together rather nicely so far this year to be able to release a lot of new products that will be on par with everything else we've done.

Someone cloned the action artistry power outlet plug and missed their diameter.... when called to the mat on the issue, the response was basically,"well that's how we're making them, and we're not going to change it." (read between the lines, the container full from China is already here, what can we do with 10,000 of these things?
)
Needless to say, our piece was test fitted to a few cars to insure we've got the diameter where it needs to be for a snug, but not overly tight fit. That, and we're using two O-rings and the part is longer than most of the ones on the market which will help to futher stabilize it in the bore.
Anyway, just laughing at stuff like this, trying to see where companies that pull this stuff will be in 20 years.... I (we) are in it for the long-haul, so a few days here and there when checking fitment, making tweaks (like we are right this very moment on the new fuse box cover at 11pm), etc.. while they may hurt us in short-term gains rushing to market, we hope will make a difference in the long run when word spreads about stuff like that.

Made mine too
The solution offered by the offending party - masking tape on a new part to take up the slack caused by the OD being too small...
Hence why our motto is so simple, yet so often overlooked, and why I don't consider them competitors in most definitions of the term.

with each new part that goes in, the car feels new again!

UPDATE!! - What we received today was the sample of the "corrected" lock pocket. cost a little more to get the chrome the way we want it, but we approved the work (looks real nice), so they said *maybe* Friday the production run will be finished, along with the new E-brake handles. I'll post some pictures in a few minutes...
Oh, and we now have 2nd day shipping as an option on our site - we could always do it over the phone, but we added in the functionality for domestic shipments to do that as well via online on our products. So we have to build the web pages for them, but they will be available for ordering here shortly. Also, there is a discount of 7.99 when the lock pockets and pins are ordered as a combo, and of course we have free standard ground shipping on our products too!
