New Tru-Billet Products coming SOON
The latest two pieces from our stable preparing to be released:
1) Tru-Billet Power Outlet Plug (POP) - this piece will include a couple of nice engraving options, including one specific for Bullitt owners, and is currently through primary machining and at the engraving / finishing stage. A 3D PDF of the part can be downloaded by clicking on the link below. This piece will be 100% made in the USA, and will have a LOWER PRICE than any of the cheap imported products!

2) Our newest piece, which just started full production yesterday, is our long-awaited Tru-Billet Door Lock Pockets. Starting from 1/2 pound of solid 6061-T6, we machine these babies down for a perfect fit using OEM CAD data from Ford to insure they snap in just like factory. They have an integrated O-ring to keep noise from pin vibration from occurring, and they will be available in our satin, polished black, and Triple-Chrome plated finishes. We're hoping to have minimal stocks in time for Christmas, although with the holidays fast approaching, finishing time may push these into the 1st of the year. Below is a picture of an early prototype, production pictures through finishing should be available next week as they come back in from sampling.

So any chance of some "pre-order" pricing on the lock pockets like you did for the switch plates??
Also I have been meaning to ask if you have any plans to develop some billet engine caps?? Not many good options out there except SD and I would like some different finish options like black anodized as that would contrast aftermarket aluminum tanks

Yeah, I noticed that too, but the problem there is they need to be really thin to fit properly, and so even machined from solid billet they would tend to do the same thing. It's not really a fault of the material, just the fact that it's so thin it can't hold up to any real abuse.
I am in as soon as you put this together. I have every interior peice you offer, this will be my next mod for sure. Praise you to Team Shelby all the time.
Thanks
Thanks, it's appreciated.
We're producing them now, ~40 sets will be done machining tomorrow to leave for finishing maybe beginning of next week, another 200 or so material arrives to do them tomorrow, right on schedule.
The other CNC's are tied up, so only one machine is producing them at the moment. Now's when I wish we had 4" vises to go along with the 6" so we could get 2-3 sets a cycle rather than just one set at a time like right now, it would speed things up a bit. - Next year's wish list for the shop just keeps growing

For the record, this will be the LAST new piece we will preview prior to actual release.
It has come to our attention that since we showed them at SEMA as a new product at the beginning of November, and a couple pictures were floating around slightly before then, that a certain company that prides themselves in cheap copies of products has come to market with a product that is at least visually incredibly similar to our part. Their "other" version visually looks identical to the early prototypes with no groove on the face.
We will have a set in hand in a day or two so that we can compare parts and see where they have cut corners to bring the cost down (because they always do), and we can immediately see they have no solution to keep the rod from vibrating, and there are other subtle issues, but we need a set in hand to be sure before taking them to the mat on this. As usual we won't cut those corners, but we know that there is an entire market segment that we have to abandon because some people think that buying the same piece 2-3x is a better "deal" than buying the right part once.
Anyway, I just thought everyone should know that this means that we're not going to be able to get public input prior to release for products and do pre-orders, which I honestly think is a bad thing, but we don't have any choice, since what you see attached is the result (that picture is of their part, not ours if you can believe it). You tell us if you don't agree, where did the visual design cues come from? Are we wrong by saying that if they call it "designer" it means we designed it for them?
The real question though is this: if the innovators quit innovating, who will the copycats copy?
Supporting those who do this ultimately just hurts the hobby since those who spend the time and effort in development eventually will spend their time and money elsewhere developing products for other industries, leaving less choice and lower quality in the vacuum that is left behind.

Marcello,
Take this for what it's worth. We had to quit releasing parts at SEMA every year a few years ago. It seems that the company's that "don't copy us" always had our new parts in their catalog come PRI - when they didn't have any product to display. What was really funny is when an un-named one of them produced a rod from our catalog that had a length typo. For us it was a typo, for them it was a part they had hundreds wrong of. Talk about a great laugh! This is an unfortunate side of innovation but you only have two choices honestly, keep doing it or quit.
Any how, people will always learn the hard way what a quality product is really worth. I'm sad to see you guys won't be having any more pre-orders. I personally never bought anything because I'll end up buying it all at once! Good luck to you guys!
