Replacing them is more difficult than you would originally think but overall not that bad. It’s one of those deals where when you know how to do it, it’s easy but the first time is confusing. I think the first door took me an hour and the second door took me 15 minutes. It involves removal of the mirror control panel, lock pocket and pin, window switch plate assembly, 9 screws, 2 T30 screws, the door handle cable, and speaker wires to get the door panel off. Then you have to *carefully* use a little elbow grease to get the handle itself out. Sticking points for me were;
-removal of the cable since when you get to that part, you’re still hanging on to the loose door panel while you finagle the cable off (or I guess I could've gotten a stool to rest the panel on while I worked)
-not having a T30 screw driver (looks like a star) and those suckers are on tight! For some reason I have a bunch of other sizes but not T30. I used a smaller sized flat head screw driver but the screws are on so tight I bent my flat head a little.
-I stupidly didn’t read the directions all the way through and spent 20 minutes figuring out why I couldn’t get the door panel off only to realize I never removed the T30 screw behind the door pull.
SHR instructions here to get an idea:

Good enought for me.

Those look really great. Does make me feel a bit sad Marcello says the door handle pocket would be such a PITA to produce though, the more quality SHR stuff in your car, the more inadequate the remaining Ford plastic looks.
Sorry guys about not posting, been quite a bit "under the weather" this whole week. Spike, yes, blackout lifted
This was released in our news yesterday. They look nice in your car with the rest of the trim done, very clean look. We actually painted the engraving on a couple sets here, really sets off the machining work on the handle portion.
On the handle pocket, the real PITA is the cost. Similar to the speaker grill I'd like to produce, we haven't solved the cost issue for you guys, and I just don't feel there's much of a market for a 300.00 pair of pockets that address all the issues. But you know me, I might come up with a solution that doesn't break the bank or compromise on what we like to produce for everyone.
Speaking of which, since we've been busy with production of restock runs for Spring, the new lock pockets were put off for about another week or two - during this time, we overlayed our new part to the factory CAD files which we finally received, so I'm confident that we have all possible fitment issues resolved and ready to go for the next run. There's some details to that I think everyone will find interesting when we release these, but I have to keep that on the "down low" right now.
Other than that, we have one more interior piece coming in the short-term, then we'll probably just "keep up" with shows and demand until late summer when things slow down enough to start more new interior products. We also have a real nice piece for the 2010+ coming, but it's hush-hush for now as well.

I already have the satin door switch plates installed, and they will look great with the satin handles...and I just ordered the sating door lock bezels...going for the whole look.

I just got my satin door pins and door handles today, installed them right away. Top notch product, you guys are artists with aluminum!
The handles were actually pretty easy to do, the hardest part was getting the door panel removed. Once I had the panel off, I brought it inside from the garage and sat on my sofa to swap the handle. 5 minutes to swap the handle and I was back in the garage to install. I haven't popped for the switch plates or door pockets yet, but maybe I will go for them in a few months or so, possibly in black so that I don't end up with too much silver inside my car.

Artists in aluminum?
Thanks!
I'll share that with our programmers and manufacturing team, they'll be happy to hear it. Of course, as the lead designer, I'm honored too
Glad the install went well for you, we revised the instructions a bit to make sure they were clear on how to tackle it. In the future, if you want to do the switch plates, realize that they are a 5 minute job, since our parts install just like the factory pieces they replace.
Oh, and for anyone on the fence, lock pocket supplies are dwindling from the first run, and after a couple extra weeks of delays due to other production demands, the revised pieces will be prototyped this week. Add a week for finishing test pieces, and then if all goes well we're in production of them. We actually overlaid the factory CAD files over our piece, and made tweaks as needed to insure that the piece will fit at least as good as OEM, but hopefully better based upon what I've seen of that in the field... my own mother's 09 a prime example...
After that, more new pieces on the way. One 94-04, two 05+, and one 10+ specific that will be a blockbuster all by summer

Good news...I'm guessing that at least one of those 05+ pieces will be a rev. 2.0 version of a part already knocked off by at least one company lacking integrity and creativity. Looking forward to that one, as I haven't purchased it yet.
There's actually only one other piece that was knocked off, the cup holders, not sure if we're going to revise that or leave it alone for now. But in all honesty, we weren't first to market with that either, just the first one to get the diameters right for actually holding drinks
I've been eyeing this thread for a while now, as well as all of SHR's parts for quite sometime now. After a resent post from SHR on another forum; it's got me in the mood to grab some things from SHR. IMO, they are an outstanding company who I look forward to dealing with in the future. My only issue is that I can't decide what I would like better; the satin or chrome look. The satin seems like it would match the best, but at the same time the chrome looks amazing! It's an extremely hard choice, and wish I could check em' out in person!
Lak3rs, if you have the interior upgrade package with the aluminum-look dash, do a combination of chrome and satin. If you don't, then I would go all one or the other. No matter what finish you chose, you can't go wrong.

Oh yes, the new instructions started going out with set #3 of the handles as soon as they came back from the printer. It's not that the old instructions were bad, but we added a couple more pictures, made adjustments for the 2010+ cars, etc... so even if you were to receive the first set, it wasn't a problem.
I'm thinking that the satin finish is probably my best bet since it will match the dash. Quite a few people have also put in the satin pin pockets with chrome pins, which actually seems to accent the satin dash with the chrome around the a/c vents and gauges.

I have several parts from you guys in my car, very pleased with all of them, the quality is top notch.
