As an admitted simpleton, I'm gonna need a quick pic of that

Both my bulb sockets point to the (left) passenger side is that the only way they go?

When I get home I'll pull the top peice off and see if I can get a clear shot of what I did. It may clear if you push the light all the way down when tightening them up, but it still will rub. I say dremel that baby and be done

Any Mustang parts house will have most all the emblems available for each year. They changed almost every year so there are MANY to choose from. It just depends on your preference as to which size you choose.

The only one I would recomend NOT getting is the current pony that comes with the Pony Package. It's way too big, IMO.

As far as I know, no one has come out with anything that will attach it to the grille. You'll just have to come up with your own mounting system.

I had the same problem with clearance - here's a photo (before painting) of how I notched the area just to the right of the hood latch. This also gives enough clearance to rotate the bulb holder for bulb replacement. I used a Dremel with a cutoff wheel.

Thanks - I appreciate the pic

I received my grille today and took a quick look at it before heading out to dinner. Um....WOW - there is no way I'll believe that any company other than the one that made the OEM grille made this one. The detail/texture is phenomenal Can't wait to put it on my car

Your grill with the pony looks terrific. I think the height is pretty good. Its different than most, and thats why I am liking it. Love your color combo. Excellent choice.

To answer Irish's question, get a SN95 left front fender tribar emblem. Perfect size, and just stick in on the grill with the tape on the back. It will stay.

three things on the install:

1) The car looked pretty cool with no grill.
2) For the fogs to mount flush, the grill needed some
trimming by the inner/upper screw boss for each fog.
3) I also cut off some metal for clearance of the left fog.

Looks great!

I went with a larger emblem on the front grille. If you look at the size of the pony on the stock grille it is pretty darn big. Here it is and I have gotten lots of wows!

I don't understand their problem,I mounted my lights the same as they were on the stock grille, clipped on the extension wires, sat the grille on the bumper, lined up the tabs and gently pushed into place. There were no wiring hangups. I put the rad cover in place and inserted new pushpins, it is solid as a rock. Mine came with black plastic donuts, which I did not use when screwing the lights into the grille. Perhaps that is the reason for their clearance problems. If it does touch some parts of the crossmember and it looks good and everything buttons up tight ,then what are all the clearance problems. If it makes slight contact and looks okay maybe the contact will make it more solid.I don't want to insult anyone ,but it has to look right to me or I won't use it.Mine fits great ,1000% better than the KSR product ever did!

The grille looks great, but that emblem is way too big, IMO. But as long as you like it that's all that matters.
