6K redline is NOT a 4V ..... Sorry, but my money is on 3V .... If it were 4V, it would redline at or above 7K

I'm liking the splitter .... I'm liking the SC ...... uhhhhhh, honestly, it looks wayyyyy to close to the GT ....

It's missing something ... can't quite put my finger on it though ...
Keep reading you guys. The specs are posted. And YES, it is a 4V. 32 Valves. SAME heads as used on the Ford GT.
The 3V cam covers/valve covers look nothing like these.

"I just don't get the "remove the goofy SHELBY lettering on back" Would you prefer a huge cutout in the bumper that says COBRA like the 03's. Now that's ugly."

Actually i'd rather neither. I think the subtle shelby cobra logos do the job. I would definitely remove the "SHELBY" It looks tacky.
Yeah it looks kindof tacky here too...

Nice pic. That's one bad *NO GOIN AROUND LANGUAGE FILTER*!

He is correct. They are 4v GT heads. The GT heads were 2mm larger than standard 4v heads. The specs on this motor are 2mm larger, just like the GT heads.

Also, the lower redline is probably Ford's way of detuning the engine for the Cobra, insurance reasons, and lower warranty claims

Maybe a reflash will change that rev-limiter.

This car looks way better than any of the tuner cars I have seen. If economics allows this might replace the 05 Gt I have now in 07.

I'ld like a high res version of this, but I don't have press access.

Couldn't agree more. This puts any "tuner" car to shame (even the ones I've seen modded). This is just too freakin' SWEET!

I don't even have my GT yet (being built today) and I'm already thinking of trading it for this........ :worship:

Why aren't the rocker panels painted? I figured it was a cost cutting measure on the V6. They look so much better painted.

What I like about this new Cobra is that its not "Too over the top". The tuner cars are a little overkill - IMO.

This is the car I want. I don't know if I'll get it, but its top on my list!

I am still interested in the car that is going to be between the Mustang GT and the Shelby Cobra - Mach1, Boss, GT350.

You think someone over there would atleast know to taper the stripes at the rear.

Give me IUP and retro shelby rims and I will be satisfied. Add side scoops and some 1/4 window scoops and it will be a knockout.

Good gried about the IUP. Take a look, that ain't "cheap black plastic", that's carbon fiber with leather on top of the dash.

I'm digging the Shelby, both inside and out. That's sharp!

And what awesome first post pictures!!!! Got any of that SVT Sport Trac??!?!

It needs side scoops and the sequential tail light panel to complete the look.

This car is definitely going to be a fun car to drive around town, but don't expect to impress anyone at an autocross or a road course. This thing is a porker... I'd guess 3800-4000 lbs.

Question, seats, are they ANY different, aside from the coloring, from the stock Mustang GT seats? They look absolutely the same in terms of contouring and padding.

The GT seats are pretty good...for the $25K GT. But on the "M3 Beater" GT500? I don't think so!

Yet another cost-cutting disappointment?

The Cobra looks awesome. Great pics. Exactly what I would have hoped for. Not over the top at all. SVT and Shelby made it meaner and nastier than a GT, which is exactly what a Cobra should be.

I just have a bad feeling that when the finally do come out, they'll be so in demand that the markup is going to be ridiculous and only the uber-rich will be able to have them so they can add them to their collection. You hear my Jay Leno ... you don't really need this car so go buy another Dussenberg instead.
