Well, I don't know how they could have done it, but they did: they completely screwed up the interior. No IUP on this car? Gimmie a break! So we're supposed to settle for a cheap, black plastic dash?!
UGH!

6K redline is NOT a 4V ..... Sorry, but my money is on 3V .... If it were 4V, it would redline at or above 7K
I'm liking the splitter .... I'm liking the SC ...... uhhhhhh, honestly, it looks wayyyyy to close to the GT ....
It's missing something ... can't quite put my finger on it though ...

Well, then, I applaud the use of 'choice' materials, but if it looks too stark and like the non-IUP dash at first glance, it seems like a poor choice to me, leather or no.

Maybe this won't be too bad, after all - provided they break up the black as much as possible:
The interior is completely wrapped in ebony black leather, including the top
of the dash, door panels and center arm rest. Also wrapped in ebony leather are
the shift lever, shift boot and parking-brake handle. SVT Red leather seat and
door panel inserts provide a marked contrast to the rest of the leather-trimmed
cabin, surrounding the performance enthusiast with luxury and comfort. Snake
logos embroidered into the seat backs finish the package.
"We've taken leather design trends to a new level by using it on almost every
exposed surface in the GT500," says Rogman. "Leather has long been a performance
fashion accessory for enthusiasts, from jackets to racing gloves, so it
perfectly matches all the other driving oriented cues."
The Shelby GT500 script and Cobra image are repeated on the steering wheel
cap. Behind the wheel are titanium-faced gauges swapped in location so that the
tachometer is dominant visually for the driver. The chrome accessories inside
the cabin have been replaced with a satin aluminum finish, including the
aluminum shift lever **** that is nicely positioned for quick, positive shifts
of the six-speed transmission.

I just hope the leather is of better quality than what is on my GT. If not, the entire interior is going to look like crap a few years down the road. It is a lot easier and cheaper to buy good quality aftermarket seats than the whole package
BTW route66, Fletch is on SpikeTV right now.

"I just don't get the "remove the goofy SHELBY lettering on back" Would you prefer a huge cutout in the bumper that says COBRA like the 03's. Now that's ugly."
Actually i'd rather neither. I think the subtle shelby cobra logos do the job. I would definitely remove the "SHELBY" It looks tacky.

Actaully Arnold T Pants drove the oldsmobuick, his wife's lawyer
Anyhoo, I like it except the black side sills, I think the mustangs look much much better with the body color side sills. Other than that I cant wait to see one in person, I would saymaybe at the dallas auto show but unfortunately it stinks so they probably wont have one here.

Overall, not too bad. I suppose I had the set my expectations too high. I would ditch the "Shelby" lettering on the tail and I do hope they offer the car with a stripe delete option. If not, at least offer gray stripes as an option on black GT500's.
I agree with Robert, the interior seems a little stark, I would have expected more.
