Let's just say my top speed "slightly" exceeded this pic
. I did it in my stock '03 Cobra when I was playing with a Porsche on I-8 in Arizona. Notice it takes around five pounds of boost just to sustain this speed.
Yeah ditto. I-10 where it opens up between Houston and Katy.
About 130 while looking at an F430 Spider in my rear view mirror on the 610 east loop in Houston a couple weeks ago on an early Sunday morning. Yeah, I have been begging for a ticket, but when I get it, it will be my first in the last 21 years of driving.
110 yesterday. Wanted to pass up a Z28 on the highway, he wanted to race. I kept up with him and never left 5th, once i got to 110 I deemed that it wasnt worth the added risk and dropped back down to speed limit. He tried to provoke me for the next 100 miles by driving just below speed limit to get me to try and pass him again. Morons.
80mph!
Edit: almost 90, speedometer only goes up to 85!

It hit the top speed limiter just short of 150 mph on a slight downhill grade with the hood doing a nasty death dance. Just think.....a C6 Z06 still has 2 more gears left at this speed and a 200mph top speed and no stupid hood shake!!
My wife had her 2006 V6 Pony convertible just over 120 mph.
The fastest I ever drove was my old 1969 Mach 1 428 CJ 4 speed. My old neighbor(back in 1988)was a cop and one night we went out to the highway so he could radar my top speed(the speedo only went to 120mph and I could peg it on the trip reset pin) he hit me at 156mph!!! Man if only I had a modern 5 or 6 speed in that beast.....
Last year we took a road trip to the mountains and for almost 20 minutes I was running between 125-145mph. A trip between 2 of the towns on our route that usually takes about 35-40 minutes was done in less than 20 minutes. After that I lost my nerve and only drove 10 mph over the posted limit the rest of the way.

better still, just think the Veyron will get to 150 in under 10 seconds and to 250mph in less then a minute.
About a month after I got mine the wife is with me comming home about 10:00 PM. We came to the long straight stretch of country road leading to our house and she says "Go fast". I was doing about 40 at the time and had the pedal mashed almost before the words got out of her mouth. She let out a whoo-hoo, like she was on a roller coaster or something. When she said OK, that's fast enough Iwas doing 120. After 25 years of marriage, I've learned that when she says enough, that's enough, LOL. Hood was as still as a church mouse by the way.

Hey Carl, do you do everything your wife tells you to? j/k!
When she said OK, that's fast enough I was doing 120.
My wife doesn't say, "That's fast enough." My wife says, "You're scaring me."
After 25 years of marriage, I've learned that when she says enough, that's enough, LOL.
Congratulations on 25 years! I'm working on 23 myself.
