Hey, to each his own. I'd rather die young living an exciting life than die old with a boring life.

I take my motorcycle up to 130 at least once on most of the trips I go on. The car goes up to 100 on most trips.

Fastest I've been in a S-197 is around 20mph. Friend gave me a ride for a couple of blocks on a rainy day in a V6 rental.

Fastest I've been in a SN-95, around 115mph when I first got it in 1996 (prior to the super charger). I haven't been over 95mph in years. Just isn't worth the risks on public roads

I've never owned a car like this- I can't keep from doing 120. She feels so comfortable at 90, and 120 is just right there. 140 will most likely never happen again. BTW I live in an area with several good roads that have little or no traffic. I'm the only car out there when most of this occurs-too many undercover cars/trucks here and a DPS substation to boot. I would never want to hurt someone else just for this thrill.

I find myself doing 100-110 a lot, without even trying. The highest I've gone on purpose is 120. Once was the first time I took my 06 GT for a long drive. My last car was a 2002 Toyota Tacoma V6. I was trying to pass some slow traffic on the 405 S in Laguna Beach, and I gave it the usual Tacoma-amount of gas for passing. I looked down and I was going 120. Oops. The other 120 time was on the way to Vegas on the 15 outside Baker. Minor hood shake, but good times in general.

Hit 100 or so with the top down last night on the highway (why girls like the top down is beyond me) . Hand was almost numb from the cold, so I pulled into an exit, parked, and put the top back up.

Tried to gun it again after getting on the highway again (at around mid 90s) and hit traffic. No wonder, there was a cop about 1/4 mile away. I shudder at what might have happened if no other cars were there.
