If you guys are interested in this I have a little updated info:

Part # 3910201
Availability: Late July 2005

I got this info froma Hurst technician. Hopefully he's right about the date. I'd personally rather have it sooner.
tech,
Thanks for the update. I was wondering when it would finally be available.

thanks for the info. Went for the Tri-Ax which went on this week. Real pleased with it. Going to put a white ball on it and call it a day. When I contacted Hurst not too long ago, they had "no idea" when it would come to market

Yup. Black is available, and you can also get two different models with single 12 pushbutton switches. One on top, the other on the side (Thumb).

LMPerformance is now advertising this shifter with a pretty sweet pic of it inside an '05: http://www.lmperformance.com/5828/73.html

They're advertising a 45% shorter shift, hmmm.

It's about time....

THAT is awsome. Getting that with black ball. I might even see if one of Hurst's boots will work as well. Thanks for the info.

Hurst boot for sure with the red logo and the white ball and a little taller stick/ slight offset to the drivers side...PERFECT :worship: and to make things absolutely perfect, how about the emblem that says Hurst equipped somewhere on the back of the car. That emblem is on the hurst site...check it out!

Has anyone gotten one of these new Hurst shifters yet. If so, what's the verdict?

Can you do a quick write-up when you install it? I want to see if it's worth it or not.

It definately looks cool, but functionality is more important to me.

I came up with a similar look. I have a Steeda TriAx with a cut down Hurst stick on it. I bought a polished Hurst T handle off ebay and I think the whole thing looks great. I just used a common rubber grommet in the boot to fill in the gap. It feels great to shift and the polished handle matches the chrome on the dash bezels. What do you guys think?

Yeah... I am trying to get a line on the Hurst shifter. I think that the White **** would really set off the red interior. A nice retro look to me anyway. But if it comes down to it, maybe the Tri-Ax and a white ball for it too.
