See if they list a part number for just the handle by itself.

There is only a $7 difference for Summit Racing, http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294907931.

If you order from Summit, don't pay their catalog prices. They mark them up about 20%. They'll price match their competitors though.
Mine was $169 + $9 s/h compared to Summit's $200 price.

unfortunatly, I dont think that will work with our transmissions. it is for people who do the 6 speed viper tranny swap. it bolts to a tremec TKO 6 speed.

The bottom photo in that Jegs link is the shifter that will fit the factory transmission. It's Hurst's new billet shifter, that looks a lot like the Pro50 and the Steeda Tri-ax. It's been delayed in shipping for months, and I've yet to hear of anyone who has installed one.

Fought with trying to intall my Hurst for 3 hours with no luck! There is no way that thing will fit into my car without dropping the driveshaft. The stocker slid in so easy I could have done it with my eyes shut. What a bummer!!!!

Did you try removing the rear bushing before installing the shifter? It's easier to do it that way and then just slip on the bushing after the shifter is already in place.

Thanks for the suggestion but yeah we tried that and going from evey angle, putting all the way though and trying to slide it back you name it. It was so close too. Only about a 1/8 of an inch from fitting(thought about getting the grinder out)!!! I've got access to a hoist but I won't have a chance to get there for a couple of weeks, then I'll just drop the front drive shaft and pop it right in.

I had trouble getting the stock out as well as the Hurst in. Was very hot out and very frustrating. I was about to give up but it eventually just kinda fell into place. I really couldn't tell you how I got it in, I just worked it in every coneivable fashion and it just sort of happened. I think the probably comes down to a very complex snake maneuver that is difficult for one person, and not much easier for two because you have to coordinate.

I just bought my hurst shifter from dagostino racing. These guys gave me good price, fast shipping and service. I am not affiliated with these guys. Shipped same day I ordered and received it today. I can't wait to install tomorrow.

Does anybody know if Hurst is going to develop a shifter for us automatic guys? There is another thread here where B&M is developing an auto shifter to bring to market. I was wondering if maybe Hurst might be thinking of offering one, also.

I've had my Hurst Shifter now for about 2 months and it is great. No rattles at all. Just the snap when it goes into gear. Hard to miss a gear with this one. I used all the bushings that came with the shifter.

is there a way to make the hurst shifter a little easier to shift, my friend has the hurst and that thing is so hard to shift that he is yanking it out. a shop installed it, do you think they tightened the linkage bolt to tight. I shifted a pro 5.0 in a 05 as well and it's alot easier then the hurst by far.
I also got a chance to sit in a stage 3 roush which has a shifter that resembles the steeda and the shifter handle looks just like the hurst handle with the white ball, but it says roush on it. same height as the hurst handle. that thing even shifts easier than the hurst.
