Thank you. The weather is crap here again today so the car will stay in. I can't wait to get some miles on it. Also want to cruise on the highway some.
Morning Larry,
So far I really like the sound. Can't wait to get some miles on her to start breaking in those Maggie's. Something else that surprised me is the Magnaflows are smaller than the GTA's by about 2 inches on the width. So I was surprised how much they lowered the tone. At this point I see no reason to build that custom Prochamber on the spare OBX H-pipe. And you should have heard Karen when she saw her camera stuck on my rear bumper.
I wish you would have posted this before I bought the GTA's, then got long tubes and off road x, hated the sound, added resonators, still hated the sound, put the stock mufflers back, quieted back down but sounded weird, then put on the flows and am now ok with the sound.
Also, great vids.

i have some pretty good drone with my pypes MM's, i love the deep and loud sound they give off, especially at WOT, but I am thinking I may add some type of chambered muff to the axleback portion of the car and see how it sounds....
the drone just gets to you after a while...
does anyone know if the over axle pypes pieces will mate up with an axle back system???

****, you don't notice drone with that 289/fm 40's???
I now have the pypes mm setup with JBA longtubes and off road h-pipe. IMO opinion this is the perfect exhaust setup, probably similar to his magnaflow's but louder/deeper. I was going to have them pipe my MAC axle-backs in with the Pypes MM's but there were problems having them aligned and would require cutting/welding.
I'm glad I didn't have them installed because I LOVE THIS EXHAUST!!!

hmmm
i have heard several people say that their pypes setup does not drone, but mine does right around 2k
otherwise i agree, the MM setup is by far the best sounding exhaust...
I'm gonna put some sound deadener in my floors and trunk, and if I can reduce the cabin drone a little bit than I will definately keep this setup.
i really dont have too much drone with the 40's on my 65... chambered muffs do a good job reducing the reverberations
my dad has magnaflows on his 65 (351C) and it just sounds mean as ****. the mags really have a distinct sound...

You are correct. I have longtubes, non catted H-pipe and the Magnaflows. It really seems this is what I needed to tone the whole system down a tad. It was pretty raw sounding with the GTA's
Texas FTW! Its been above at LEAST 60 for the past month, only gettin warmer!

Okay Larry ...this sounds like a call out!!!.
So here is the deal...I am going to post a vid of my car tonight. I challenge you and Tom281 to post your vids for the masses to make the final decision.
I drove the car today and have a very positive opinion of how they sound and I want to drive it somemore before I post my opinion. Are you guys in for the challenge??????This place will not let me upload my vid tonight so I throw down the gauntlet to you and Tom to post your vid and I will be back.

Scott,
You know whatever makes you happy is what you should go with
I'm glad your happy with your Maggies, I know the GTA's didn't set well with you. I think the differences between your vert + auto & my coupe + standard also makes a difference in the in-cabin sound tone.
We're both old enough to do what pleases us first & the heck with the rest of 'em, we've earned that
I will get a current vid up within the next week here though & will include some in car vids, now that it has finally gotten warmer here.
