Vaporware

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search
This article refers to the term as used in computer industry. For the company, see VaporWare (company). Vaporware is software or hardware product which is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge, either with or without a protracted development cycle. The term implies unwarranted optimism, or sometimes even deception; that is, it may imply that the announcer knows that product development is in too early a stage to support responsible statements about its completion date, feature set, or even feasibility.

This would be great for autocross, but I will have to agree with Subzero05, unfortunately. That's why I am still keeping my fingers crossed for the B&M auto shifter, it's the best option that appears to be, at least theoretically, available anytime soon.

I haven't, of course, because it's not on the market yet.

Those of us that have been here longer than four months understand and appreciate the business problems that Subzero has had to go thru with the buyout of Hurst. Those kind of deals involve lots of stuff with big numbers and big words, so just sit tight and wait for this to come to a dealer near you.

Or don't, I really don't care....

I'm on my way trying to have a manual transmission stuffed into my car, so I will most likely not be picking one up anymore. Unless, the manual trans swap doesn't happen that is.

Good news on the pending production Chris! Those of us who have been with you from the start appreciate you not letting this project fall a part. Keep me on the loyal fan pre-order list! LOL!

I've been here longer than 4 months...
And I've known about the Autoshifter since it was first announced.
And just like the FAST intake manifold, I will believe it when I see it.

And your condesention is very childish, you don't know me from Adam... nor should you. But don't always assume you should talk down to ppl when they don't agree with you.

Shifter is in latest JEGs catalog

Hey Subzero,

I was just perusing the latest JEGS catalog and on page 210 in the Mustang Shifters and Transmission section is the shifter.

Is this a good sign or just early advertising.
