Didn't care about R/T, was more concerned with how fast the car would go and how to get it off the line wihtout to much spin. I got 16 runs in that day and the very first was about 15.30 IIRC

Good runs, You should be going through the 1/4 mile traps in third gear on the stock tune and a bone stock car. Shifting to fourth just before the finish will hurt your times. The trap speed difference from when you drove and then your buddy drove your car is directly indicative of the 155lbs weight advantage he has over you. A lighter car will accelerate faster thus improving et's and mph trap speeds.

C&L Racer CAI, Brenspeed SCT2 93 oct tune, Steeda UDPs. 18 inch fanblades with stock street radials

I scared the Camaro into redlighting. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Cool

Finally!! Almost great weather for racing in MI!! (It was really windy, and almost dead headwinds at that!! Look at the flags in the first pic!!) Got some E.T. Street Drag Radials for my car and tried them out today. Got a total of 15 runs in, here's the best one!!
60 ft. 2.105
330 ft. 5.867
1/8m ET 8.971
1/8mph 79.37
1/4 ET 13.99 New Personal Best!!!
1/4 mph 96.92

Quick question, how do you convert 1/8 mi. to 1/4 mi. times? Wind was soo bad, that the track officials decided to stop the full runs for safety concerns. BTW, the Cobra was either asleep at the light or he spun real bad, but he barely got me at the line (just by a fender) on one of the 1/8 mi. runs

That one agrees with my data fairly well. I have a database of over 300 runs, and I come up with an average multiplier of 1.553 with a standard devaition of 0.0183. For simplicity (and since it's far from an exact predictor), I generally just use 1.55 times the 1/8-mi ET to estimate the 1/4-mi ET.

I know there is a lot of ET data here and a big THANK YOU goes out to Galaxie for starting and updating the list in the first post .

Does anyone else see a benefit of at least adding whether or not their times were on street radials, drag radials or slicks to the times listed in post #1?

(ex: #XX 13.786 @ 104.5 member xyz - street radials)

I don't want it to become too much of a hassle to maintain but it might help people compare how they are truly doing.

Just a thought.

Now, back to the ETs...

Hey, thanks for the conversion tables!!! Don, I'll try that 1.55 conversion factor when I'm at the track next time!!! According to the tables, I made 5 runs between 13.95 and 13.99, SWEET!!! Now, I weigh 260-265 lbs. so I'm sure thats holding me back some but its not gonna change anytime soon. The weather is probably a contributing factor too (it was only 50-55 F and wind was blowing almost straight down the track at me, between 10-20 mph). I'm hoping more experience and better conditions get me down to 13.7 or so!!!

Took my 06 to the track saturday 4/28/07. A local mustang club rented it out for the day. There were one or two TMS members out there as well. Got in a total of eight runs, here are my two best times of the day. 4.10 gears and lightweight aluminum driveshaft are my next two mods, hopefully they will put me in the 12.80-12.90 range on stock rubber.
