rakkassan34 -

There's your problem - your 60ft times are a mess. They should be 2.1-2.0 on radials. That alone will get you into the mid 13's. You probably need to shift a little higher too. Try 6300-6500rpm.

I don't have drag radials yet. Still running the stock tires. Had 4.10's installed hopefully that will help with the 60 ft times. I will try shifting at higher rpm's next weekend

WHOOOHOOO!

I finally did it! I broke into the 13's. Instead of dropping the clutch I launched at 2000rpm and feathered the clutch. Lots of gear jamming at a forum member's recommended 6000rpm and 13.8sec later I was done. On the return road I realized I forgot to turn traction control off so I did that and did two 13.5's back to back on the stock pirelli tires.

I'm very excited thanks all for your help

There ya go - congrats! Yeah experiment with going easier out of the hole and then launch a bit harder every time

first time at track!

Ok, well went to the track last week for the frist time in the Mustang. I was hoping for better but I'm still trying to learn how to launch. I hope to have fixed my traction problem though since I ordered the ET Streets and Bullits from Brenspeed the day after I ran. Here is my best time. How does this compare to people with similar mods?

60ft. 2.03
330ft. 5.81
1/8 8.87
MPH 81.08

Is this still being updated? I put my new times up back in March 12.42@110 mild mods. I know its a lot of work to keep up with thanks to whoever keeps the records. It is nice to see how we fare against other S197s!
