That is getting harder and harder to do. And with the new Regs coming down soon it is going to get even harder. If you cannot get a tune that is emission friendly then there is no way you will pass smog. Especially since the State Computer plugs into the car.

They put in the sniffer in the tail pipe and hook up to the OBDII port here, but it is the state doing the testing here as well. We have DEQ stations so you pay your 75 bucks and get your tags on the spot upon passing inspection. They are usually done by the time Ive written the check.

There's a little debate on another board as to whether these are actually the genuine FRPP M-6550-3V part, or something else labeled as a FRPP part. Reason being, a few people have called FRPP and they say they haven't been made available yet and there's no ETA.

So, to anyone that has purchased/installed these cams from Sutton or LMR, did you see the box? Happen to take any pictures?

Thanks!

Darkfire, can you send me a link to this board/thread where this discussion is taking place?

These are the pics I took when I got the cams...

PS: The icon at the top of this thread should be a Thumbs up, rather than a RED Thumbs down

It is a thumbs up now, but at the time of my initial post, I was having issues. I tried to edit it, but was not able to.

Wait, I think people are misunderstanding this thread where I or others have stated that the parts are on backorder with FRPP. The cams ARE on backorder. We and myself have never stated that there was not an initial shipment of cams received and distributed. I am under the impression that there were and based on other posts, I would think the cams are the real deal. Why would we or anyone think otherwise? Personally, I am posting the status of my communications with FRPP and when they expect the next batch.

I love the cams, but haven't made it to the dyno yet. Sorry. Soon... I swear!
