Will the 1-800-544-4761 take me to the problem center or just the company main line?

I spoke to Alex. He was extremely helpful. 1-800-544-4761 Ext. 444

Imagine that.....I am on my 3rd set of Flowmasters, and they too have developed the elusive rattle!

I am starting to get very disappointed with Flowmaster, and these mufflers are the supposed redesigned ones!!

This time they make the noise at 3500 rpms, and sounds like one pissed off bee-hive! I just emailed Flowmaster, and I am about to ask for a refund and go with another company.

Flowmaster is awesome! They are going to send me my 4th set!

Good news for people with future problems. I was told that they redesigned them yet again, only this time they added a brace inside. Hopefully this will fix the issue.

Still gotta hand it to Flowmaster. Eventhough I am on my 4th set, they still stand behind their product and make it right!

****, maybe I should call Flowmaster and tell them mine are rattling. With my luck they'll start after the warranty expires.

I spoke with Flowmaster last week, and they told me that the rattling issue has been corrected on all the later mufflers.

I do not know what the start date was for the changes.

One thing you have to watch out for is to make sure you dont have the clamp on that alignment tab on the stock pipe. I think I just read a thread the other day about this same thing (might have been yours), and I had the same problem you did. The ID of the Flowmaster pipe is bigger than the OD of the stock pipe (obviously so it can fit over it)....maybe in some cases such as yours, the tolerances are too high for both pipes. I broke a clamp trying to tighten it because mine were too big. Easy solution is to go to your local auto parts store and pick up a couple of the old tried and true U-style muffler clamps. Just crank them down as tight as you can get them, and it will compress the tubing to get a tight fit.
