Borla Exhaust

Well after waiting for almost 8 weeks now ... the borla's (#11750) came in today.

The driver's side went on with no problems (perfectly centered in the opening). The passenger side was a different story though. No matter what I do the passenger side sits a little lower than the driver's side. I just don't get it, the SLP's did the same thing. Maybe its an 05 thing??

Regardless of this little issue the sound is .... not as LOUD as the SLP's but sound is a lot "cleaner" and deeper in tone.

One more thing ... changing the exhaust on this car with lowering springs, a body kit and no lift is a PITA.

Did you try getting as much adjustment out of the midpipe as you can? Without being able to at least jack up your car it would be hard, and if you can get a friend to help it would make it much easier. FYI it took me like 2+ hours just adjusting my MACs to get them decently lined up from my midpipe, i know its frustrating.

Go loosen the mid-pipe clamps.

For the life of me, I don't understand why guys here are hesitant or affraid to loosen those clamps, it's like voodoo or something. In reality, it's an easy 5 minute job for each side.

Its not that I'm affraid or hesitant to adjust the mid-section or "any" other part of the car for that matter. But the fact that I can't jack the car up makes it kind of hard. Tried to squeeze myself under there but almost got stuck. Luckily a friend of mine has a hydraulic lift at his house and said I could use it this weekend.

Sound clips to follow this weekend. I'm not sure if anyone would want to hear it though ...... I think there are several borla vids already out there.

Careful bud! Always make sure the car's safely jacked up (with stands preferably) before going beneath it.

Using the hyd lift at your friend's house will be the way to go.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Hey GT, fine choice in exhaust. I too have the 11750's and LOVE THE SOUND!!! Nothing like the sound at WOT in 3rd gear shifting into 4th. I had them on my car before day 1 of ownership, and I'd never go back to stock.
