2005/2006 Mustang Squeeking Brakes

You can see Dan from my posts I didn't get 2 months untill it came back but its the rear that are acting up ,the front seem good .If this doesnt work ( new ford pads ) I'm going to try the Wagner disk Quiet ceramic pads for the 05 mustang ,they already make them for the car and I have a few friends that have them on the front disks of there trucks when they first came out ...no noise at all and no black brake soot just a fine white dust and thats it .
And if I do go to the Wagner it will be all the way around just to be on the safe side.But I do prefer Ford to fix and take care of this ....If you look at the polls it now getting closer to 50% having this problem .

Try the bed-in procedure!!!! It worked great for me after a second set of pads from Ford. 10-12k miles later and not a squeak to be heard. Do the bed-in procedure before you do anything else, especially if it involves money.

The new shoes are on and I also had the strut pop so that was taken care of at the same time .
The new pad numbers are for new shoes for the mustang for the rear from what my service manager told me they called the ford service tec hotline and thats what they told them.
They also asked about chamfering the pads just in case and they said no they will be fine just put them on and drive it ..so i will skip the bed in process for the rears and see how it goes but from the feel of it I belive this will work ....no sqeek or noise at all whether i press hard/med or soft on the brakes .And no strut pop

Never had any squeaking...which Im really happy about, considering the amount of people here who say their brakes DO squeak.
One thing that kinda sucked, though, was that my street just got "recemented," or as I would call it, "Glued cheap little pebbles onto old cement."
A few times while I was driving, those little pebbles would get stuck between my disks and break pads, and WOW, this AWEFUL screeching noise would come out of under the car, almost like when chalk rubs against the chalkboard the wrong way

Anyway, I've checked my brakes, and there are very faint, but still visible, lines across my pads. STILL no problems, though.

As an ASE Mechanic and worked for differnt type dealerships, the most common correction wich works most of the time I have experianced is to wash out the caliper when washing your car or use brake cleaner to get the dirt, dust, ect... out between the rotor or pads, also you should check to see if your pads are loose. replacing pads and turning rotors is last case resolve.Have done it on all of my cars, including my 05 stang no problems
