I completely understand. I'm the same way. Plus the fact that no matter what I do on my car it takes at least twice as long as what people say it will. I'll just contact them to see how long the turnbuckles are and compare that what Stillen says on theirs. Were the turnbuckles included in the price? I see they do sell them separately.

The turnbuckles were included as well as 12 or 14 fasteners. I ended up using about 10 additional fasteners. Not sure how they expect 14 fasteners to hold the splitter in place

On an unrelated note, how often do you guys flush your radiators, and what with??

The TP cars came with Boss radiators which are higher capacity, and I've not had any overheating issues since day 1. Still on stock fluid 2.5 years later. I think I may have to get it flushed soon to keep that streak going. How often do you guys do it?

I just ordered some G-Lock R10s (Vorshlag is switching from Carbotech's to G-Lock. I guess the top 2 guys at CT decided to start their own new company and brought the compound with them )

Also picked up some cryogenic Centric blank rotors (fronts were only $89). More as insurance for now I think, since I have some cracking on the passenger front. Once the goodies are here I'll post pics.

I haven't yet after about 3 years. Probably would be a good idea...

EDIT: These are actually the GS-1 street compound. New parts en-route.

Got the pads for this season (and next hopefully) in the mail today. They came with shims. R10 is the name of the compound and it's supposed to be same (I think) as XP10 but fade resistant to 1650F.

First track day yesterday and I had no complaints. Took a little getting used to from Hawk HP Plus but I did post my fastest lap yet on my home track. It was a cold day too so the tires were not nearly as sticky as they should have been. Corded my two fronts but thankfully another guy I know has two he's not using. Hopefully those will last me through the coming weekend's nasa event. Then it's time to shop for tires and camber plates.

I was just looking at data sheets for ST43, 45 and 47. The temp range isn't as high as I was expecting it to be. 1350F max. I know Derek has cooling, do you as well mustang5o?

I was wondering why I haven't really seen the need the run brake ducts yet, and perhaps that's because my CT/G-loc pads are good to 1650F...

Where did you see this information? I thought I had seen that it was higher than that. I did just add cooling though by the way. I've been meaning to take a picture and post in dmichaels "Pieced Together Brake Cooling" thread. I really just did the same thing he did except that I hid the ports behind the lower grille and cut out some of the honeycomb pattern to allow the air through. I got that idea from the Vorshlag brake cooling kit. I didn't do any rear brake cooling but I run traction control off generally. Now that I think about it I forgot to turn traction control off yesterday. I better take a close look at my rear brakes

Although it could be true brake cooling will also help prolong the life of all of your brake components. If you a tracking regularly I (and several articles I've read) recommend it.
