Canceled my shop install appointment for Friday. And planned out how to lure 2 unsuspecting friends with tools and expertise to help perform my suspension install on Friday instead.

How? A good home-cooked meal and a lot of beer.

Good luck with it Burton.

I got sunburnt today driving all over with the top down. Almost 30 celsius here. I actually had to put the top up and use the A/C on the way home. Craziness.

I got so motivated tonight, after someone in my other thread mentioned a video on cj pony. After watching that, I realized how much of a fool I was. That was easy.

So I finished the rear suspension install tonight. Adjusted the rear ride height to about 1.25" ride height.

I can't believe I was going to pay someone 400 bucks to do that install... Just took me 1-1/2 hours for rear.

Lol the front isn't so easy...

And I partially traded my True Forged Chicanes that came on my 03 for some staggered black 03-04 Cobra 5-spokes to sell the car with. Keeping my 10th Annis for my Escape. Also traded my 99-01 Cobra tails for stock ones to the same guy.

Lastly, I received my new valve covers from Late Model Resto, a day early in fact!

Beer after the install.... otherwise it may end up being a 2 day project!

Gabe, because of you, I now have konis and steedas too, and because of you also, I am attempting the install on my/our (buddies) own as well. it really doesn't seem that hard though.

Lol ... beacuse of me, huh? Cool!

The hardest part is probably loosening up the bottom strut bolts. I think Ford uses the biggest gorilla they can find to tighten those things.
I'm actually worried that my impact gun won't do the job

Ohhhh yes indeed. It's surprising actually. Maybe it's my plates, my exhaust, or just the car in general . I haven't driven her all week, so tomorrow and this weekend is when I get to enjoy her post suspension install.

Burton, if it takes 2-3 of you guys more than 2 hours to get the front Konis done, there's something wrong, or you guys are taking too many beer breaks, lol.

I just got the girlfriend's Konis installed on the front of her SHelby. 2 hours total including jacking up the car, lowering it and test-driving it. 2.5 hours if you include bringing all the tools out and bringing all the tools back in the house.

Oh, and I also got under the car and took a few minutes to loosen/adjust/tighten (a couple of times) an exhaust pipe so that both exhaust tips point the right way (one of them's been pointing up since she had trans work done after she bought the car - clutch TSB)

Wow, a Mustang owner in high school… back when I was in high school all I could afford was a $300 POS from the junkyard. Barely ran.

Like all toys, I get bored with them after a while. Time for a change.
