Don't miss everything back from Post #1496 (nobody's around today).

I emailed the guy selling these to ask if he had any more available:

MUSTANG inserts

He has none on eBay now, but he has to have more. I'm going to put them on the shaker shroud in black. I would do red if I had a TR car, or blue for VB, but I don't think white will show up good on the silver plate.

What I was really looking for were the puffy, or raised letters to put on there. I asked this guy if he was the one selling them.

If you guys are interested, maybe we can get a discount if we buy 3 sets at a time.

Zip ties? Never thought of that... I'll keep that idea in mind.

They even have TR ties!

I need to do this too. Mine is a (dinosaur) hair off towards the passenger side.

Yours seems to be dead nuts on, good job!

I'm interested!

The lettering font and size appear to be the same as the door sills, but can you confirm that the letters on the Shaker are the same? If so, count me in for a TR set.

I believe it's within the 3/32" tolerance you held me to. The hair that it is off, I fixed with putting the trim ring ever so slightly to the passenger side.

I wanted those for my doors (not my Shaker). I may be in on a discount. Is the 25.95 per item, or for a pair?

I think the silver plate actually IS the door sill plate. I measured the letters and the plate... both are identical.

Would you want flat vinyl letters, or raised letters (if available). And Susan?

Per pair.

And Daryl is lurking around... he popped on to answer our poll, Bill...

I didn't really like mine when I got it. But I have looked at others and can't really find anything I like much better. What's on the '89 Tom? Or is yours auto? I remember liking my '89 better. But now I've gotten used to my shifter.

I think raised would look real good, but I could be swayed. What kind are you looking to get?

I haven't checked the Shaker poll thread today, but good to hear that Daryl is back.

My guess is that Susan will want the recessed letters in TR.

I would like the raised. I think that would stand out good on the plate. (The raised might be a little more... if it's even this guy that sells them).

Sure, get our hopes up without checking with him first!

If he doesn't have them, the flat ones will do.

Yea, I am back. I got back into to town this afternoon and caught up, participated in the poll and then had to run again.
I want to do something to the lettering on the shaker and maybe the sill plates to match. I think in VB for me.

My shaker is moved as far to the driver side as possible and it is still off center. I guess my measuring skills don't match that of Tom & Bill's.

The vinyl stripes looked good. I think I mentioned several times not to worry about the bubbles until a week or so later, some people just don't listen.

Susan sorry to hear you were so abruptly nailed in the rear, that must of hurt The damage doesn't look severe though and you and Katie are alright, so the world is right again.

How much do your shakers actually shake?

I thought it would be bouncing all over the place because I read here on TMS that it moved alot going over bumps and stuff. But that's not the case.

When I rev the car up, it doesn't really move that much at all. It does have some shake-age, but not much.

However... I drove down a stretch of road and eased on the gas in 1st gear, then shifted to 2nd and punched it to the floor. The driver's side of the scoop lifted and stayed there until I got off the gas... it looked awesome!

This is kinda how I was hoping it would be. I didn't want to be driving down the street and see it wobbling all over the place.

Mine does about the same, pretty mellow unless you get on it. Mine does move a bit over bumps in the road.

So what's the verdict on the brake booster line?

Maybe I didn't hit any good bumps, yet.

Didn't you see my vote? I had the thing on and off 4 times trying different things. Wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for the drain tubes. Any of your drain tubes laying on the cam covers? I tried to keep them off of them, but it's not easy. That rubber is made for heat, though.

Anyway... I put the booster line outside the cover.
