Looks good so far. Don't stress on the bubbles too much. Leave it out in the sun (at least a week) if possible and see if they'll lay down on their own. For the ones that don't, take a pin to them.
What I've learned, don't sweat the small stuff. If you keep messing with the vinyl trying to get tiny bubbles out, chances are you're just going to make it worse!

No-no.
Thats as far as I`m going in the back. It origonally came without it going over the rear trunk , but I cut a little piece from the scratched ones , and brought it down to the end of the lid. Had to cut out the 3rd brake lite with a exacto knife. I suck doing that. Looks crappy up close , but I`m **** anyhoo. I thought i might find a 3rd brake lite bezel thats black and all will be well. It`s the front one that has me going and I dont want to start slicing and dicing. Every time it sits in the sun , more bubbles appear.
My luck......bad.

If you do decide to go all the way down the front bumper, you may as well finish the back off too.... just a thought.

Here's a pic of what's included in the Saleen short throw kit.
Between this, the louvers, 3rd brake light overlay, and the 281 emblems, I've got a good backlog of mod jobs to do!

Haven't posted anything about it yet (except for that little blip), though I'd take a pic of it once I put it on.
Sorry, no hints! You'll have to wait.

Well , seeing that I can`t leave well enough alone , I got it hot and started to try to get rid of the few air bubbles remaining. Wrong move , I think the sun made it too hot , as the squegee and my hand put a hole in one of the roof one`s. They all came off. Couldn`t hang with a hole on the top. I`ll try again later.
Sheese.

Really, sorry you had to scrap the stripes. Daryl also ran into some issues back when he first attempted his front bumper, so you're not alone.
Maybe the place will cut you a deal on a replacement set if you tell them what happened. All they could say is, "No".

On another note, I just ordered my 281 emblems for the shaker scoop, too, Bill. Maybe I'll have the shaker installed by the time they get here!
The guy finally shipped the black spoiler... it's only been 9 days since the auction ended.
Also, I hate everybody's guts for showing me these:
Thanks alot for nothin'...
Now I have to seriously contemplate selling mine and replacing them with those shown in the link.

I'm finally done with the shaker install!! No pictures until Friday, though.
Here's a neat tip:
Instead of using the hose clamps on the coupler piece, just use black wire ties (or zip ties). I used long thin ones and they blend right in with the black coupler. The coupler is pretty tight already, so all you need is some pressure to hold it in place. I used my crappy camera just for the pic below (looks much better in person).
I used wire ties on all my radiator hoses in the '89 Mustang, so if they can hold hot water pressure, they sure will hold that coupler in place.
It really cleans up the look and gets rid of the unsightly hose clamps.
Throttle body bolts:
I was dreading these because everybody says they are a pain in the butt. They weren't easy, but once in place through the bracket and TB, they weren't that difficult to tighten. Also, I pulled up and pushed toward the driver's side while tightening. Up to move the shroud away from the raditor hoses as much as possible, and toward the driver's side to center the scoop in the hood opening.

Ok, so I took one more picture with the crappy camera. I was by myself, so the little lines on the tape are 28" from each side of the hood, then I measured to the center of them to find the hood center line.
As I said earlier, this is with the scoop pushed toward the driver's side when tightening.
Daryl (where ever you are) -- there is a good amount of play in those bolts. All you have to do is loosen them and shove your scoop over to the right... and it might help center it better.
