This weekend is a non-mustang weekend for me, I overloaded last weekend.
If you're referring to the CHE loop, I have no idea.

Keep in mind, this only applies to the MGW shifter as all other short throw shifters should be fine with any brand loop.

Best (and easiest) way to tell if you need a shim (and if so, what thickness) is to check it without the driveshaft in the way.
Simply bolt up the safety loop and check the 1-3-5 shifts. If it hits, determine what thickness shim you'll need (will vary somewhat depending on your throw setting) before bolting in the new driveshaft.

In hindsight, this is what I should've done, would have saved me over an hour! This is because I had to completely unbolt the driveshaft just to get the front loop off so a shim could be fab'd.

You cannot see the shifter block or how much clearance you have to the loop without a flashlight and mirror with the driveshaft installed, a real PITA.

Don't feel bad Brian, I'm 'working on the Mustang' overloaded from this driveshaft job. I'm planning on completing it this weekend though with the new shim and bolts and put this thing to bed. That is if my test drive goes as good as I'm hoping for (okay, more like praying! ).

As soon as I find a way to put tires on them.

I have the money to get the rims...but not the tires. We'll see what I can do.

You're mind-reading skills are pretty good... CHE loop. But before that my very next mod is the MGW shifter. So I am very interested in how it turns out....

Of course I could go ahead and get a loop w/o the driveshaft first and go from there.

I just looked up the CHE loop, looks way different from the BMR one. The CHE requires drilling, but looks like the driveshaft doesn't need to be removed for installation. By the looks of it, it's kinda hard to imagine exactly where it get's bolted into place.
If you're considering the CHE, I'd e-mail them and ask for a PDF installation file so I know exactly what to expect.

Phil-The stripes and letters look great. I assume your going to go with a blue and black theme for the interior and maybe the engine bay??

Brian-Wow your a crazy **** I can't believe your coming down for both shows.

What about the rest of you Socal guys? I hope you atleast come down for the SD show.

I'm still thinking about the GT500 spoiler.

Then again, I'm also thinking about the new CS wheels.

I think I'm thinking too much!

Still thinking about the SD shows (there I go again!).

Haha, I wouldn't blame you for taking a break after that install...

Least you're almost done.

Forget it! After the wheels and tires, I'm through with the big stuff.

My GT is fast enough now. Imagine a 16 year old driving around in a 460+ HP blown GT?
~350 hp is plenty!

Bill2 is the only one getting the KB around here. In fact, I think his Roush is headed for mod surgery tomorrow.

Leo your assumption is fairly dead on, or spot on as the English would say. When I paint or get my CamCovers I'm going the Ford Blue color for sure. Something about Ford Blue has always been alluring to me, since the first Fords my Dad had when we were monsters, errrr youngsters.

Thanks again Leo for giving me the heads up on the Door Sill decals.

Ya really think you got 350 horseees at those rear wheels? Time for another Dyno Bill. Dyno Bill I demand proof

But I agree that if the ultimate plan is o bequeath the GT to Chris then the GT has more then enough HP's at this time.

And I;m sitting here relaxing and drinking a beer thinking how can I wind up my good fiend Dyno Bill

A guy from my hometown Procharged his 05 GT and took the Procharger off when he ended up giving the car to his kid.

I don't think people took a kid having such a nice car all that well...His car got keyed something terrible. I hope your car never has to go through that Bill!!

I'm liking Kyles avatar again ...Gotta love F&F

On a similar note: great news---"Redline" is coming out on DVD on August 21. I wonder if they will be able to sell 10 copies, which is probably 10% of the number of people who actually saw the movie in theaters.
