Ponies on The Run!
That's better than having scratches. I read elsewhere about the velcro drooping exposing the adhesive. You could go my route - never get the windows tinted!
This is the longest I've owned a car without tinting the windows. I need to do that!
---------------------
Had an import playing with me on the way home last night. There was traffic, so I wasn't going to screw around too much. But I would take off hard from a light, peel out pretty good in 2nd (thanks to the tune), and then taper off at 60. Then he would fly by with his weedwacker like he beat me or something. Then it would repeat at the next light and he kept coming back for more.

I know the discussion of how many quarts of oil is needed for an oil change was discussed way back when. How many am I supposed to use with an oil filter change?
Also looking for opinions now.
I currently have around 540 miles and will be a year old next February.
Change the oil now? Then, yearly thereafter?
Or wait until February (possibly at 600-700 miles) to change the oil, then yearly thereafter?

Go ahead and change the oil now. You've driven it pretty hard in those tiny 540 miles. Get out the factory oil and put in the Mobil 1 and use your Ford Racing filter.
Then, I would email Mobil 1 and tell them your driving habits. Ask them if it's OK to change it yearly since you won't be coming close to the 5000 miles per year.

Go the moleskin route since you're in the Florida heat and humidity.

Huh? Come again?

This is all after you change oil.
Start it. Then after it's warmed up, make sure you don't have any leaks from around the new filter or from around the drain plug. Then after you turn off the car and give the oil a chance to drain back into the oil pan (I wait at least 5 minutes), you just want to double check and make sure the oil level is where it's supposed to be on the dipstick.

I was just cornfused about the 'drain into the pan'. I thought you were talking about the drain pan!

Speaking of dipsticks, does yours look funny too? Mine looks all twisted at the end and spliced by two rivets near the top. Wierd design.
Yes, my dipstick looks as funny as yours.

now that is just sick. And the fact that you two are comparing dipsticks really disturbs me :gay:
I called Kevin at clevparts to ask for advice on how to go about dealing with the dealership about my decklid. He just told me to be as nice as possible and if worse comes to worse ask to talk to the owner or go to the BBB. I just got off the phone with the service manager and he asked me to bring the car down tomorrow and that we'd talk about options then. I really I hope they have it ready before the sunset show.
Moving on to good news my mgw stuff should be here today and we'll finally know if the dipstick cover will work with our shakers. I should also be getting my chin spoiler sometime this week. Although I won't have the car then.
As I told Bill this weekend went from awesome to crappy. It started with me noticing the cracking in the paint on the stang friday night. Although I was having to much fun at the time to let it bother me. Then wife's car broke down. The icing on the cake was when I got back home last night and my desktop wouldn't load up. I spent 2 hours with tech support getting that fixed. I'm on a bad luck streak the past 72 hours.

I explained my driving habits and yearly mileage (less than 1000 mi) to the Tech and was told that I fall into the 'Severe Driving' category (
I guess I can put this issue to bed now.
Tom- Don't know if you noticed but your cars on the CDC homepage.

Wow, do I work for Mobil 1 tech support, or what?
Leo - it can only get better now! I think those launches down the drag strip are cracking your paint!
Wow! Eat that TacoBell!
They need to update my pic, though..
I think I'll email them... "Thanks for putting my car on your home page, and all, but could you change my picture to this..."

I wish it was that and not a crappy paint job.

I'm sure if you do that they'll respond with one of these.
