Thanks, I'll stop by AutoZone today and pick it up (if they have my filter size and oil weight).

Where did you see that special? Good luck on the weight. They will probably have 5 quarts.

Wal-Mart used to never carry it, but maybe it's becoming more popular.

Tom's the kind of guy who'll lick around the ice cream cone til it's all gone. Unlike most of us, who'll just take one big bite!

Fixed it! And my current tune! (Bill didn't notice the error)

Sale should apply nationwide (I think).
I'll call tonight... if they have that special, I guess I'll be using a Mobil 1 filter for the first time!

EDIT: I called - they said to bring in the ad and they would give it to me. They said they have the filter and the 5W-20.

--------------------

Today I also installed the 3rd Brake Light Pulser. To tell you the truth, I thought this would be a little gay, but it really looks cool.

I step on the brake and the 3rd brake light flashes at a non-annoying rate about 4 times, then stays solid. Like WebElectric says, if you take your foot off and on the brake thereafter, it works like normal (no flashing). If your foot is off the brake pedal for 15 seconds, it will flash the next time the brake is pressed.

It sure can't hurt in traffic to make somebody see you and it is in no way "too much" in addition to the sequentials. Will make a video tomorrow.

Got the Mobil 1 total package today! (The little things that we get giddy about..)

Total was $38.95 for 6 quarts and the filter.

I'll try and get to changing the oil during the weekend.

BTW- This oil filter is so nice looking, I'm thinking of putting a coat of wax on it! It'll make the Gloss Black really shine! Yeah, I know...

That's funny... 1 cent less than I paid for everything at Wal-Mart. So, basically, you are getting a better filter with Auto Zone's deal. I'll be going tomorrow morning. I could probably keep that filter on for the next 3 oil changes - I bet it's made for the 15,000 mile oil. But, I would still change it every time.

I just noticed that if you join TMS, your C/T is "Lawn Furniture" until your 1st post!

Received my radar mount yesterday. All aluminum and black anodized, fit and finish looks very good. I noticed a small pigtail scratch on one side, not a big deal as I'll flip it so it faces the windshield.

I'll try and install it this weekend when I change oil.

Here's some pics.

Think I should put something in that milled out space (pony or tri-bar logo)?

What's on your odo?

Tom mentioned a few posts back that he's approaching 6000 miles.

Chime in with your current miles and let's see what our little group is averaging.

I guess he didn't think it was inappropriate. Do you say "y'all" in CA?

Can you get a Tri-Bar Pony that small?

Yeah, I'm getting close to 6000 miles in 8 months, which put me on a 9000 mile per year pace.

Yes, we still have your order and will contact you for payment method as soon as we get them in. We are still shooting for next week.

I'm trying to lure Susan back.

I'm not sure. I think the tri-bar in my wheel center cap will work, but no way am I going to order a cap and butcher it to get the pony out.
If I can get a small 'rub off' decal in white, that'll do too. Question is where can I get one?

That sounds pretty low in SoCal standards. I think our average here is 15k to 20k a year!

Oh well. I guess next week is better than not knowing.
