Right after I told Bill last week how great the convertibles are now with no squeaks and creaks, I started hearing a rattle coming from the passenger side of the car. I couldn't pinpoint where it was but it was pretty much non-stop. I would touch the dash, the vents, the visors - anything - to try to stop the rattle. I would tap on stuff trying to re-create it, but I couldn't find it.

I almost broke down and let my wife drive the car so I could sit in the passenger side just to find this rattle - but then I figured it out.

Any guesses as to what it was? Hint - has nothing to do with being a convertible!

I don't really know... I just say stuff like that all the time to confuse people.

I love to say something like... "Man! That's the 3rd last thing I would have thought of!"

Speaker grille loose?

Flowmaster's coming loose? Hanger rods rubbing the frame or rear bumper? (anything that hits the frame can transmit throughout the car, hard to pinpoint)

Something loose in the engine bay?

That was my guess as that is the last thing I knew he took OFF and put back on.

Hey, I just logged on to my PC and was going to do all that, but I'm getting slammed with replies and PM's!

It took Tom like forever to get rid of those exhaust auctions he had in his siggy.

Yes. If you recall, I mentioned that I got the feeling that the Torque Tune flattened out above 3500 R's... good for the stop and go crowd, but not really for me. The Race tune's much better. The Race Tune is just giddy.

I don't know why anybody would really want the 93T. Around town, stop and go, why do you need power - so you can haul a$$ to the next light? Then when you finally get to open it up, the power drops off.

I think if somebody HAD to get 3 tunes only, they should get 87P, 91/93P, and 91/93R. Then, like you said, they would have a low octane tune if they had to fill up with 87.
