welp, it's modding time...

Not that big of a deal, but I'm about to get a Stef's Oil/Air Separator. Will still have to buy the flex line and an fittings. But those should be cheap. The can is the biggest part. Wanted to get gauges first but if this will help the life of the intercooler/blower then better now than later.

Suggestions...

ST Motorsports wants 700 bucks for Wideband A/F, Boost, shift light bought and installed OTD. I think it'll go down a bit 'cause I have the SOS gauge pod already. Does that sound about right. 350 for the AF gauge and 50-70 for the boost so that's 400+ so 200 or so install... what's that two hours. Or d'ya think it'd be better to buy them myself and then have them install ?

I'd install but I DO NOT trust myself with electrical stuff. I get it, the big picture hot-wire, ground yada-yada-yada, but I won't do electrical myself. Can't even imagine it on one of these cars. So TB or anyone else, that's why I'm not doing it myself.

That price sounds reasonable to me. Make it a '1 stop shop' and have them order the gauges and do the install. That way if there's any issues with the gauge(s) being defective, they'll handle it.

Jury is still out whether my head is repairable or not.

I called GTR and Power Heads (?), both don't have any take-offs at the moment.

Good news is ST Motorsports may have a set of take-offs for sale, but not sure if they'll seperate the set and just sell me the Drivers side bank. Some guy took my number, but haven't got a call back yet.

Besides ST, my only options left may be to get a bare head.

There is Adam, Jon and Dan. All related. Dan is the brother, not always at the shop, Jon is the main mechanic and is always there. Give it a couple days then call back. Adam, unfortunately, is known for being hard to get on the phone. I usually try to call around 2-330 that seems to be the 'magic' time when they're at the shop and they're answering calls.

BTW, thanks for the info/price check. I'll probably do just that.

Thought I would share this with the group to hear thoughts/suggestions/comments

I have this friend who just got hold of a Charget R/T from his brother. Ever since he heard through the grapevine that he was going to get his hands on it, he's been talking non-stop about how he can kick my *** blah blah blah lol. I bite after a week or two of this nagging. I told him to get used to the car and when he's ready, we'll head down to Irwindale. He just sent me a text letting me know it's in his hands now

So... what do you think it will take to beat an R/T with the following mods: Long tube headers, cai, custom tune, headers-back exhaust? It has an auto tranny so he'll have better luck with traction. I was sure it was going to be a driver's race until he snuck in the long tube headers not too long after I agreed to the race

Leo - when's the install party going down

Hmmmm.....I say he wins for three reasons:

1) Your pretty much stock (Unless of course you finally get intake and tune)

2) Your best time if I remember correctly was a mid 9 right? I'm willing to bet he'll be somewhere between an 8.8-9.0.

3) He's got an automatic.

If you get the intake/tune plus get your launching and shifting right you'll beat him.

Not sure yet haven't talked with Bill about when he's available.

Borrow Leo's DRs, practice launching with them, and womp on that R/T.
All those mods he has doesn't mean squat if he can't get traction... right Leo?

have you tried looking in a junkyard, if you're looking for the stock head, maybe you can find a totalled car, and get the heads?
