Aside from that.... almost got pulled over by one of the "Truck Sheriffs" today at lunch
driving along at normal speeds and after looking around to see if the coast is clear I nail it in 3rd to quickly get to 65-70 and then popped it in neutral to bleed off the speed (in a 45 zone).... You know 'cause gas is cheap compared to the sound the car makes
Anyway I look up and this FBig-50 is coming up along side of me and quick, so I continue on at a little above the limit... look over and on second glance I saw the gold "Los Angeles County SHERIFF" on the side of the truck... Oh ****. He then gets direcly behind me and I know, know I'm screwed. But I kept it at 45-50 and did not hit the brakes.
Luckily the greasy spoon for lunch was just about the next drive way, so I signaled and turned in waiting for him to follow and light me up.
He did't, he just kept on down the street. WHEW !!!! Life # 1 down. I got very lucky.

I have to agree with Brian. Those 'big' caliper covers look funny on the small rotor.
I think most people would just point and laugh when they see that it's just a cover and start whispering 'What a poser!'.
That was a close one. Does this mean you won't be boosting anymore?
It all started with the car, I've since gone downhill.

Covers are too big.
Great idea, bad execution of it.
If they were about the same size as the calipers, I might even consider them myself

The poor mans Big Brake look...
New brake kits are coming out all of the time, ROUSH will release a mid-range solution for performance brakes and a decent price. Most vendors like Baer, SSBC, Brembo offer mid solutions currently or will probably release some in the future.
