It's new technology. Nothing is bug proof right from the start. That's why it's good to wait 6-8 months if you don't want to experience any setbacks.

Lol it's a cheap pc with a horrendous OS, deleting the entire game because a canceled a UPDATE is a pretty huge ****ing bug. The fact that I have to install each and every game is beyond idiotic. What purpose can it serve besides mimicking a pc?? As ****ty as the hdd is, playing off the Blu ray drive would likely improve load times. Sorry they've only had 15 years to work on this system, bugs are inherit.

Big or small its still a bug. It happens with new and old technology. Just the way it works.

The only way you know a pipeline has no leaks in it is by running fluid through it. No amount of pre-checks/debugging can possibly pick up every single little problem that may occur. Mass usage of something is the only way to identify the true weak spots in a new system; it's new, so there are going to be leaks.

I'm sure once they get the kinks worked out, they will tell you it's simplified.

I'm not on the system and I won't be; I'm happy with my pc and have no interest in either one. But there's a reason why games get published with so many bugs in them, and why systems such as this have issues at launch: complexity. The games these days are mountains and mountains of code that simply can't be properly built/debugged before they're launched--or they'd never get launched at all. Same with trying to integrate anything new that is as large-scale as the new xbox; there are going to be bugs. Some are painfully obvious and everyone wonders why this or that wasn't caught in beta testing, etc. There aren't enough testers to replicate anything close to the kind of usage the network will experience once the boxes go live. Same with games, especially pc games--it's impossible to build every one of the bugs out of a game at launch because there simply aren't enough people or enough test systems to mimic the behavior of every kind of system the game will be run on.

It's a pain. If you don't want to deal with it, wait six months and the bugs will be worked out.

No doubt with games, a minor bug doesn't bother me, every game I've played so far has had a couple. Deleting a game entirely because I cancel a update is a crazy bug to which I'll have to wait an hour to reinstall the disc then however long it takes to download 7gb worth of updates. You have to admit this is pretty ridiculous.

I prefer pc as well, just bought this thing to play a few console games with friends. Instead I've spent more time installing and updating games than I've spent playing the **** thing.

Just a tip, install forza offline then let it update as you play, otherwise you won't be able to play until it finishes the 7gb of updates.

Tried forza. It was awesome! Although only the first race in the P1 and two races after. Ended up going with the BRZ for my first car.

Hey geeks, the kids have a playstation 4 but it's not compatible with their tv. What do I need to hook it up other than a new tv?

What kind of connections are on the TV? You'll probably need an HDMI to RCA or Component video cable or adaptor.

I think just RCA. Guess I'll check out radio shack tomorrow or maybe Walmart.

You may also want to try Gamestop or Best Buy.

This is all you need to fix that problem.

Seriously, if you still have a TV with just RCA and Composite video connections it's time to just replace it. You'll end up spending as much on digital to analog converters as a cheap 32" HDTV costs.

Basically you need an HDMI to RCA converter. There aren't many on the market and the cheapest ones are about $50. The whole analog video system was essentially tossed in the trash about a decade ago and very few new products support it.

I'm sticking with 480p, 1080 is a gimmick!
