I've been wanting to try Foie Gras ever since I started hearing about it on Food Network. Looks really good.

Just don't waste your time with the pâté. Doesn't matter what the dish is, anything goes with Foie Gras. Had it in so many different type of appetizers and its always good. Or just seared alone.

Yeah but I don't care for the foie Gras pâté. Last time I had the pâté was on a wild hot dog in Chicago. It was just ok.

I tried sushi for the first time about 3 years ago. I didn't think I'd like it, but I was surprised. The high quality fish is nowhere near as "fishy" as I thought it would be. I know, sounds backward, but the taste is far more mild than I expected. I don't eat it often as it's expensive, but when I do I prefer the simple rolls and the nigiri and sashimi.

Only foie gras I ever had was at a high-end sushi restaurant in Austin, Uchi. It was good, I'll admit, but $20 was entirely too much for one bite of food, no matter how good it is. And no, I didn't buy it, it was bought for me.

I had real sushi (not just rolls) for the first time last Friday. Didn't like it. The rolls I can eat. The other stuff, not so much.

My next experiment is to buy some of the real stuff, take the fish off and then throw it on the grill. See how they like me then! lol
