Tonight is my commemoration of the Last Supper, so in the tradition of the first Passover described in Ex 12, I'm having roast lamb and bitter greens. My version is thick & juicy grilled lamb loin chops, spinach leaves with balsamic vinegar.
And 4 glasses of wine like the Lord had with his friends.

That was new wine, non-alcoholic, grape juice, just ask a Baptist in the South.

Haha whatever. Gotta try everything once! Life is worth living. Mountain oysters were better though.

Yes, beef, re-fried beans, lettuce, cheese. Some crunchy and some soft.

I thought about tacos tonight, but didn't want to risk a pancreas flareup from season beef. I haven't had beef since being hospitalized

Hate to break it to them but their tradition is against the Word of God itself - even that crusty ol' KJV. Grape juice is not purified... whereas wine is by the alcohol it produced. Grapes were harvested in the fall, Passover is in spring... there was no refrigeration to preserve just plain grape juice right?
Using grape juice at Passover or Lord's Evening Meal (communion) is like putting yeast in the bread. Impure juice cannot represent 'pure' blood, nor can leavened bread represent 'pure' body. Their man-made superstition gets sent to the reject department.
I didn't make the recipe - nor did they.
