We cook our road kill. We don't roll it up raw in seaweed. When I'm trapped in the wilderness for a couple months I may try uncooked food.

Well the rolls pretty much suck. I will eat some of them when I have to. Hibachi is bland and worthless. Chinese fried rice is so much better. So my highlight is usually seeing the grill on fire for theatrics.

Odori don - dancing squid dish. After you play with it, they take it and cook it. You don't eat it raw. That's soy sauce poured over it, the salinity in the sauce reacts with the muscles causing it to dance

That's just sick. But pretty cool. My youngest loves calamari.

It's a very traditional dish in Japan.

I had to run to publix since there was one close. I wanted sushi and while theirs isn't great, it's better than say Chinese buffet type rolls lol.

OK let's see here... makin' it up as I go...

"Pork Ladue"
Main:
Slow cooked roast of pork loin topped with caramelized sweet onion and pressed garlic;
basted with a peach sauce/red wine/honey glaze (hint of cinnamon, nutmeg, chinese dry mustard, herbs de provence);
served w/glaze, chopped walnuts, a few raisins & peach slices for garnish.
Sides:
Oregon baker cooked in wood stove, modestly topped with sour cream & butter & fresh ground pepper.
Lightly steamed young asparagus spears topped with butter & shredded parm.
Caesar salad.
Copious amounts of red wine.

Time to fire the wood stove for the bakers.
