I can't believe you guys have never had corned beef!

I can't eat a Reuben sandwich. I can't get past the smell of sauerkraut
I don't think we eat corned beef down here in the south. I've never seen it on a table or menu ever.

Does it always come from a can or do y'all make it yourselves?

I've never had it from a can. Generally I only make it once a year for St. Pattys day. You buy it in the meat section at the grocery store. Mostly I eat it as a lunch meat sandwich. I like it on rye bread with mayo, hot not cold. Most people use mustard but I hate mustard.

Yeah, I never see it anywhere down here. I remember my aunt and uncle used to eat corned beef hash, and my dad eats a Reuben from time to time, but that's about it.

I think that's the reason I never see it is that its mostly in delis and I'm not much of a sandwich eater. I have seen a bunch of places making it on Triple D though where they put a brisket in brine and a bunch of other **** and let it sit for a week or two.

Had some tacos de carne asada yesterday, they were good.

Its a brisket that is cured. You boil it with a bit of pickling spice and mustard seed.

That sounds good. I just haven't been able to get my appetite back. Haven't eaten hardly anything this weekend. Only thing I ate Friday was a cheeseburger, and only thing I ate yesterday was a little piece of grilled chicken, some rice and a baked potato. Tried to eat a bbq sandwich last night and only made it through about 3 bites.

Corned beef is great. Those guys are missing out. Wish it was available more than once/year. I'm going to buy an extra tomorrow (on sale) and freeze it for summer.

Same here. cooked cabbage.

Some Texas style barbecue has opened on that corner and that's a barbecue pit smoking right there. It was killing me

Doesn't matter how big. All I said was big girls need love too . But heavier people should never wear horizontal stripes.
