I buy a beef loin each fall (sale this Fri) and cut 1 1/4" NY's and freeze them wrapped with foil and in a freezer zip. They're great!
Usually come in under $5 for a 16+oz strip. I usually have 1 or 2 left before the next beef sale so I used them for NY beef stew... that I also freeze. lol
I'll cut my own thank you where I know my hands are clean as is my chef knife and cutting board.

Today I threw a pork tenderloin into the slow cooker. Added 1 medium onion sliced and 3 jalopoenos, sliced and cored. Added about 1/3 cup of Dr. Pepper (the real stuff made with sugar cane, not corn syrup) plus any seasonings you feel like. Set on high for about 30 minutes then low for about 5 hours.
Drained and returned all solids back to slow cooker, added about 16 ounces of salsa verde from Trader joe's. Shred pork with two forks, mix and set for 20-30 minutes on low.
Mixed about 1/4 cup of salsa verde with about 1/2 cup of sour cream.
Served on corn tortilla (toasted in skillet), shredded monteray jack cheese, a small layer of refined beans, a small handful of arugula/spinach mix, shredded pork, and sour cream sauce.
Side: roasted corn
So easy, and oh so good!

Finished eating earlier, and they were killer. Great piece of beef. On par with the ones I get at home that I've mentioned before. Nothing like a farm raised cow and knowing where it came from and what its been through. No store bought can compete. Period.
